Does he not remember what happened to his own brother? Now he's going down the same path. It's sad, like we're slowly watching his demise.

Has anything been said by his reps since the show? Heck, it looks a lot like a bad reaction I had to some meds one time so it doesn't necessarily mean anything sinister.

Was he there to do publicity for the movie or was he there to announce his retiring from acting?

He's grown a crazy beard, decided to quit acting and become a hip-hop star, and now this. Personally, I'm calling Andy Kauffman shennanigans on this one. I think it's bit.

The family was always weird. Frankly, I wasn't surprised.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Yeah, with Casey Affleck doing a documentary about him transitioning to music and following him around with cameras, it has a feel of... maybe a year later, at the documentary premiere they'll come out and say "you all been punk'd, yo!".

But if it is that, they're being awfully convincing...

He already did his first rapping gig, back in January I think:

Later he called his debut terrible, saying he was too nervous:

He already seemed to be going weird, and starting to slur his words back in November:

It seems the rumors are true: Actor Joaquin Phoenix says he's retiring from the acting business. Phoenix personally confirmed the story as he walked the red ...

If you compare it to how he was on Letterman in 2006, it's a completely different person:

I am the rat, and my name is Marvin. from www.dearjoaquin.com

A journalist who interviewed him on the same day as the latest Letterman appearance said the interview was very different to how he was on Letterman, and he gave a more detailed explanation of why he's quitting acting:

After watching the Letterman video, I see this less as Joaquin acting strange, and more as Letterman being his usual self at not being the greatest interviewer.
