  • I need some help

    Hi all,

Normally I would not post something like this, but with the economy the way it is and the fact that it is not what you know but who you know, that gets a job, I'm trying all options.

I found out yesterday that I'll be out of a job at the end of Dec.

I'm hoping that there is someone out there in the forums that can help me find some leads on open or soon to be open positions in my field.

I'll be brief and if anyone can help we can discuss off line.

I'm an business systems analyst with 20+ years in experience. I've done everything from applications design and implementation to training and technical writing.

I've been a consultant for most of those years with a large list of fortune 500 clients.

I'd prefer a full-time position somewhere in the So. Cal area. But if there is a consulting position that requires travel I'm open to that as well, though it is not my 1st choice.

My linked in profile is: http://www.linkedin.com/in/craigbobchin

Thanks and I now return you to your regular discussions.

My sympathies as well, AstroBoy. I'll be out of job by Feb 1st due to the current crisis as well since my contract will not be extended.

I wish you all the best with your search and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Starstuff, my fingers are crossed for you, as well. I wish for everyone affected by the economy to not only land their feet, but in a more lucrative and stable position! OK, Universe, time to step up and make some good things happen for a change.

I feel your pain Starstuff. I had to let 4 people go last week. It was a tough but necessary decision. That didn't make it any easier. I hope you can find something fulfilling soon, and if not fulfilling, at least paying.
What a wonderful world you live in. -
Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.
