Watched the movie and the first ep! Not too bad at all!

I actually thought the CGI movie was decent. I'd rank it above both Phantom Menace & Attack of the Clones, actually.

Although nice to see I wasn't the only one who realized that Zero or Ziro or whatever its name is, was just doing a Truman Capote impression.

Well, Hutts more or less change their sexuality at will. In the Han Solo Trilogy by A.C. Crispin, one of the Hutt leaders gets "pregnant" and changes his traits. Still, Ziro was an astoundingly stupid character. I had to see the film because I have a seven-year old son.

I didn't care for the show, either. What a shame, really. If they had increased the adult aspects it could have been great. There are some good stories to tell from that era, despite the weakness of the prequels. I'd love to see something like the novel Shatterpoint.

I've been watching it with my 11 and 12 year old sons, and they seem to really like it while I think it's pretty average. I did miss the first episode which had Yoda and seems to be a fan favorite so far. Still, if you don't need an epic storyline to enjoy the Star Wars universe, then this is pretty decent stuff.

I am prepared to cut the show (and the movie) some slack because it is clearly a kids' show, far more blatantly than any of the movies were.

That said ... without the Star Wars name on it, it really is nothing more than an average CGI animated cartoon.

    Bring back Max Steel.

    No kidding?!
Well, while I could stand the first one, considering the one "dancer" in Jabba's Palace in RotJ, the latter is rediculous. Lucas should really get his metal state checked...

I second the advice to avoid the movie. However, the series has had a couple of good epsiodes so far, mostly the ones focusing on the clone troppers themselves. The episode with Yoda and a few troops trapped nehind enemy lines was particularly good. I still question when did the Jedi's allow their female padawans to wear tube tops...

I've seen the first two episodes, thought they were OK. Nothing spectacular, but not terrible either. Haven't seen the movie.

The tv version is ok. For goodness sake, avoid that blasted "movie" ... It's filled to the brim with annoying characters, such as Jabba the Hutt's brother Zero, a drag queen with the makeup of Dame Edna and the voice of Truman Capote, a pink Jabba.

    *shudder*
