Don S. Davis, probably best known for his role as Gen. Hammond on Stargate SG-1 passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 29.

I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Davis at a convention a couple of years ago and he was truly a delight. My thoughts go out to his family and fellow castmates.

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Don at Dragon*Con two years ago. We chatted about not just StarGate, but his other roles, and how much he loved the fans.

May he rest in peace.

Never got to meet him, but I always enjoyed his work.

Just read the news and I am still in disbelief - prior to check the news I had watched an SG1 episode with him appearing.
