I'm sure someone posted this months ago and I failed to notice for some reason or another..but there's another Whedon show going to hit the air this fall.

Premise and interview there. Faith is starring in it.

I'm excited, and it's a pretty cool premise I think. Maybe sexy enough that Fox won't cancel it right away. Was her other show Tru Calling any good?

    When's JMS gonna announce a new show : /

I loved Tru Calling! That was one of my favorite shows. Murder mysteries with a paranormal twist (ok a little more to it than that, but that's a good one-line description). Plus there was a bit of an ongoing plot weaved through it too!

Not resolved but I think it ended well. If it had to be canceled, it ended in the right spot.

Also for fans of the British series(s), the new US versions of The 11th Hour and Life on Mars have just been picked up, while happily, it appears that the US version of Spaced has not.

I firmly expect FOX to cancel Dollhouse during the second commercial break of the first episode aired. (Which of course will be the fourth episode produced, dropping viewers into storylines already in progress...)

That is a very cynical view of Fox (Firefly) and I can't (Firefly) imagine why you would even think of it (Firefly)!

There was a good bit in Family Guy on the first episode after it was brought back from cancellation:

We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel; Titus; Undeclared; Action; That 80's Show; Wonderfalls; Fastlane; Andy Richter Controls the Universe; Skin; Girls Club; Cracking Up; The Pitts; Firefly; Get Real; FreakyLinks; Wanda At Large; Costello; The Lone Gunmen; A Minute With Stan Hooper; Normal, Ohio; Pasadena; Harsh Realm; Keen Eddie; The Street; American Embassy; Cedric the Entertainer; The Tick; Louie; and Greg the Bunny.

                    ...

Well, I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes, we might have a shot...

I love Whedon and I'm sure this will be a great show, but I'm not sure this is the kind of show to get in on the ground floor of. Better to see if it gets off the ground and if it does then caught up a few year down the road. At least thats what I did with Buffy and Angle. I have great deal of respect for both show now but when they were on the air I didn't give them the time of day.

Anyways we all know unless you have nelson box it doesn't matter if you watch it live anyways.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOW - What a RIDE!"

I remember interviewing Joss Whedon some years back about Firefly for the cover of Starlog, and I asked him how he felt about the series going into the Fox Friday Night Death slot. His response: "I love the Friday night death slot, because their expectations are so low, and they're great at canceling people, so for someone to be in a slot where they don't need the huge numbers to survive is actually fine with me." Not surprisingly, when I interviewed Whedon again several months later for the Firefly DVD, I couldn't resist pointing that out to him.

Yeah...I don't know if I'd go back to fox with anything after the way they treated the shows. I wonder why he didn't try to work with the CW? It seems to fit their profile much better.

*laughs* Indeed, mind you from the number of shows that don't seem to be making out of Pilot stage at the moment, I wonder if Dollhouse will even make it to air.
