ok so we had the premiere, now we have had "Kara"

overall she did an excellent job. the lana/lex thing could have waited, it would have been interesting to leave the question of lana untill at least ep 4 (more like 8 i wold have thought)

some drawbacks, Kara is obviously older then 16/18 (not sure what age they intend her to be) and a younger actress might have been a better idea
clark is going to tak eup his training which in superman mythology means he should be leaving the known world for a few years, i'm hoping that the end of this season will have him going off, then season 8 or a follow up show could pick it up 5 or so years from the end of the season (also that should deal with our actors getting visibly older)
as for kara she could be extremely interesting if they handle her correctly (insert joke about wanting to handle her yourself) she is supposed to appear in half this seasons eps, i'm hoping we get off the farm(as it were) alot more this season

ok flying, i know that at the begining of season one it was given as a "no flying" rule, but thats getting old, clark is now 23-25 in the story, its time to stuff that rule. every other kryptonian who has shown up can fly. if the MM shows up a bit more that could also be interesting.

Actually, I think Clark is only 21 or so on the show. (Though Welling looks like he's rolling fast down the hill to 30.)

Wasn't the first season their freshman year in high school, making them 14 going on 15 through that season?

Well, now that they found traces of a third kryptonian in ep3 I wonder who that might be. Apart from that I hope we get to see some more comic characters. Or at least some reapearing Flash or Olli. A bit of J'On every now and then would be nice too, his role in the premiere was quite short.

i'm actually rather curious about the third kryty myself. off the top of my head i can't think of who it might be (after all we have already faced zod), also i found the whole "you think your going to stay here and gorw old on the farm" bit interesting, i don't remeber it ever being explicitly said that superman is immortal, but it has been implied in the show before (the boy who saw visions of peoples deaths) also we don't know the lifespan of a kryptonian

Come to think of it, it might just be a remainder of a previous visit by a kryptonian who is long gone. I mean Kara said that Earth would play a bigger part in whatever went on on Krypton than one would think. So it's likely more of them have been here over a certain period of time and went back after whatever they had tried to achieve. We'll see...
In the meantime I have 12 more episodes of Heroes to watch before I can start watching it's season two eps.
Maybe the third kryptonian is Nathan Petrelli...

it is hard to keep up with the mythology(especially since in the books i just can't read superman, far to black and white, gotta love marvel and the x-men universe for complications) but wasn't dax-us one of the legion from the future?

if anyone has a quick refresher on his part in the mythos that would be great

Dunno. All I know is that there is a badass kryptonian scientist by the name of Jax-Ur...
Right now speculations go from he being him having lost his powers due to the golden Kryptonite to he being a disguised braniac who wants to lure him to the g. k. to strip him of his powers permanently.
Shame on me btw. that I didn't realize Dean Cain's appearance as Cutis Knox was a hint at him actually being Vandal Savage...
