That doesn't mean that they won't try and fail miserably. (*Cough*Journeyman*Cough*)

If I was a TV executive and one of my underlings came to me with that proposal to redo an old TV show because it was easy, cheap and would cash in on generation X nostalgia then I'd fire his ass straight away and find someone who would have the vision and courage to go out there and find me writers of the calibre of JMS & Joss Wheedon who could come up with something new & exciting.
That does tend to be the reason behind most remakes on film and tv but I don't think you can overlook that nostalgia can be used to get something made that otherwise wouldnt have been(or perhaps more importantly to attract an audience right from the start to stop it suffering the fate of firefly).

Generally I'd say that series that never quite lived up to their reputation/ideas(BSG, Star Trek, Blakes 7, Doctor Who IMHO) are better candidates. I can't imagine Quantum Leap for example being improved upon.

I'd like to see Crusade restart as a full 5 year story arc with as many of the original cast that can be gathered.
Also Legend of the Rangers to be rebooted, only this time make it a 12 part mini series like HBO makes.

...Time Tunnel ... been remade ... pilots were awful
DANGED! I'd have loved to see it return.
I'd also like to see more of Firefly. Granted that Serenity was a fitting conclusion just like the Peacekeeper wars for Farscape, but that doesn't change the fact that I'd like it to return. e.g. the stories being told as a retroperspective. Much like the Young Indie stories.
    And Buck Rogers.

Blake's 7 would be a good oportunity do create a British BSG, maybe a BBC/HBO co production? While its not the same pop culture refference as Doctor Who(viewed as bit too geeky for people to admit liking rather like B5 IMHO) the series does seem to have a pretty high nostalgia value so would most likey draw alot of interest.

I'd certainly be interested in seeing it happen as there has been a bit of a move towards cheese/pulp(not all bad) in recent BBC sci fi/fantasy leaving little room for serious writters.

Not only am I aware of the "Sapphire and Steel" audios I have most of them and the quality is really high. David Warner is always David Warner (which in my book is a good thing) Susannah Harker however, sounds so much like Joanna Lumley I often forget that she's a great actress in her own right and see Lumley in my mind (which in my book is always a good thing) whenever she speaks. Good as they are they aren't the same as having a new television show. The series on a tight budget created such evocative images, the paper children, the man with no face, the haunted train station and the service station, literally, in the middle of nowhere.

Will "Journey Man" have any of the hilarious drag episodes? Call me kinky but I used to tune in to "Quantum Leap" specifically to see Scott Bakula in drag, in a nappy, pretending to be a chimp (never all at once mind, but it was the high point of my week).

I would be strongly in favor of a new blade 7 but only if it had a closed story line and a set end honestly if I could get 3 years and they it ended in a good way at the end of that 3rd year I would be very happy

I'd love to see "Sapphire & Steel", "Blake's 7", and "The Avengers" come back.

I'd love to see a continuation of "Farscape" and "Crusade".

And perhaps a remake/reboot of "The Changes", "Timeslip" and "Lost In Space".
Personally I would be happy to leave most things as they are. I'd rather have continuations than reboots or completely new things. Even though I mostly like the new BSG.

Farscape is being continued as Webisodes of SciFi Channel sometime in the future.

Lost In Space and Time Tunnel have both been remade in the last 10 years, but both pilots were awful (they are out there in the ether). I heard murmurs at one point that Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea would be remade. That leaves them Land Of The Giants to try again as well

"Sapphire & Steel" not sure if you are aware but they are being continued as audio adventures by Big Finish, admittedly not by the same cast though.

I would love to have a continuation of the first season of Seaquest DSV, when they had a mature cast and fairly decent stories; before the studios butted in to improve ratings.

Maybe a couple of Quantum Leap tv movies, but with Journey Man on now, which I am told is similar in concept, I think that is now even less likely than it was.

Its odd you know, I am British and I like scifi stuff and yet I think I've only ever seen bits of a couple of episodes of Blake's 7.

Hmm Knightrider is being rebooted again, I just hope they remember Team Knight Rider and don't repeat their mistakes.

Not sure what else I would want to see, possibly a reboot of Automan.

"V: the series", had a very unsatisfactory development and ending, so I think it should reboot from the ending of the second miniseries (V: the final battle). Impossible to redo with the original actors, unless you want to place all the action after decades of alien rule, but I wouldn't mind if some roles are recast.

And of course I'd like to see Crusade finished, but on that front I don't hold any hope. I think it's more likely we'll know how the major plot points were resolved via Lost Tales.

I don't really want Farscape to continue, at least not in regards to the main story. It had a satisfactory (even if rushed) ending. Maybe some side-stories (Rygel regaining the throne, Chiana's people plan to take over the world unfolding and being foiled), but the main Crichton/Aeryn story seems already complete to me.
