Well, it must be just me, since I've been re-watching the Complete B5 Universe lately...

I was referring more to the name choice than the piece of equipment anyhow...

Still, anything like the B5 concept of Nightwatch, name varying or not, does make me strangle my imagination in order not to go conspiracy-theory.

Okey, I need to get out more.

Actually, if you're a full-blooded geek in the world of sci-fi/fantasy pop-culture, Nightwatch should have not only the B5 ugly nasty meaning, but a very different and positive meaning as well.

Since Nightwatch is an ominous name only in refrence to a political organization in a Science Fiction TV show, i.e., in a fiction world, no, it doesn't give me chills that a piece of military hardware is named that in the real world.

YMMV, mine doesn't go outside the real world for adding to my worries.

Heh. Unfortunate name choice maybe. Otherwise, no scarier than anything else we fly - just a hardened logistics plane.

Seems like pretty old tech by the article too.

For those that don't wanna read the entire article,
    this should suffice:

The Boeing E-4B Advanced Airborne Command Post, with a project name of "Nightwatch", is an aircraft operated by the United States Air Force and is specially built to serve as a survivable mobile command post for the National Command Authority (the President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense, and successors).

Anyone else gets the chills from that idea?
