If you have an affiliate, I wouldn't waste your money. You live in northern Cali, right? I'm sure that KHBK or someone else airs the show.

    EDIT: That's KBHK...

I guess someday I will have to purchase TOS-R... but not yet, and especially not on DVD. The whole sense of this project was to update the picture quality and the effects so you could present them in an HD-format. Buying it on DVD is a waste of time IMHO.

Missed the above episode, but I did catch "The Squire of Gothos" this past weekend. Good work. The scene where the Enterprise is trying to run from the planet looked nice.

Since I have the "non-remastered" DVD set already, I will leave it at that. Not that I am against doing it as such.

I think that the DS9 episode "Trials and Tribbelations" , where parts the TOS ep. "Trouble with Tribbles" are blended in - good job btw and hilarious - was a first try of refreshing the old series.

For me the dated look of the original series gives it an extra charm. After all it is about the *story* sfx comes after that for me.

I, too would leave B5 as it is, and spend on new stuff. The story alone carries B5 through non ideal cgi, I can sooo easily live with that

If they were going to pour enough money into B5 to re-do all of the CGI and composite scenes I would rather see them spend it on new stuff.

As a fan, I don't mind it at all. It's not like the old show is going away.

Have they not learnt from the fan outcries at the Special Editions of the Star Wars movies ... where only some of the changes where actually for the better.

Or from people upset that classic black and white movies have been colourised. YUCK!

Would I want B5 changed? No, leave it be.
But..you have to remember, star wars special editions made money like crazy. So of course they haven't learned. lol

actully i would LOVE to let modern cgi loose on b5 effects, actully see the bodies floating away in bloody spray in space, see the debris flying off in all trajectories(this is the thing that annoys me the most when i watch b5), the debris is NEVER ther 1 second later, and debris is a major issue in space combat at close quaters

as to the remastered trek i only say a few eps because of the very strange broadcast times, and they weren't very diffrent that i noticed, i saw very few few of these "remastered" bits
