Well, my Samsung A-900 Blade can play music, browse the web, take photos or record video, play videos, etc., so I am not too impressed by the iPhone.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.
Looks interesting and I'm reading lots of reviews about how it works in real life settings. Some great reviews, some not so much. I'll let it stew for a while and see about heading down to the Apple Store so I can actually put my mits on one and get an idea about how it will work for me.
I'll spend 600 bucks on a computer, with laser sharp graphics and cool games to boot.
I'll spend 99 on a music player, less if possible (I have no need to cart around 4 decades in 40 gigs just for the convenience)
I'll spend 0 on a cell phone, with 2-year soul sucking contract. I'm already gaining the pleasure of being attached at the hip to the world, you want me to pay for it?
So, iPhone + Me = Blech. It's a cool little gadget, I'll admit. That's all it is though, I don't see the need to wig out for it. If it comes down in price - like, about half - I'd consider it. Kinda doubt that'll happen soon though.

Same goes for me too, no need to over do the multipurpose device that does everything, but drop it just once? it becomes junk brink.
I will pass.

I'm no marketing bitch... *looks at his dual core PC* well... not often... and not without reason... I hope. My old mobile still works (funny to say "old" for a device less than 2 years "old"), I bought myself a robust one last time. That "sporty" Nokia 5140... I do no sports (only hiking) but the protective cover was the base for my decision. I am happy with it, I can phone with it. I have an adress book, so I don't need to remember the numbers (boy, my memory has gone into the gutter since adressbooks *g*). I don't want to "surf" or "mail" or "photograph" or anything else with my mobile. I look into the different menues from time to time and try to envision meetings where those functions get decided. "Lets do something *shiney*... what about more colors on the display? No? Then what about a more protective cover? No? Yes, we want to sell more mobiles, you are right... as long as nobody else offers that. Then what about... a kompass? Eh? Y'know, when you are lost in the woods *irritated look outside the window on the skyscrapers*.. y'know: The WOODS! Well, anyway... when you are lost you need to know where you want to go. So more of our customers survive and the ones buying from our competitors get eaten by THE BEARS! 8o)
