But then again, HEROES returns in two weeks
I keep hearing exactly that phrase in different places like it's a zealous mantra to a dark god that probably involves tentacles. Calm yourself, ye nerds.

Sweet episode last night. The actress who plays Juliet is really, really good. Juliet is not! (although that might change, who knows?)

Sawyer's "3 Men and a Baby" crack was classic.

Yeah, another good one. Looks like the season is going to finish off nicely indeed. See you in a week.

Another nice one (especially if you like the Sun/Jin backstory, which I do). I had the same reaction as Hugo at the end. How nice was that! And the Russian dude is alive again! All kinds of cool stuff going on the last half of this season.

Yeah, more or less two WTF moments: (a) Didn't we see his brain bleed out his ear? and (b) Somebody faked a plane crash?! (No, do NOT buy into the everybody is dead angle, it never helps)

Anyone watch the finale last night?

Damn, do I love this show again.

The Jack Flashback was starting to look like yet another one of those why are we being shown this moments, as Jack flashbacks have been. The absurd beard didn't help. But then... damn, did they close it all well.

                Hurley. Awesome.

                Charlie. Saddened.

Sawyer. Just.... hell, that boy needs therapy.

                Ben. What a fuck-up.

                I think that's everyone.

I was busy trying to figure out when this part of Jack's story could have taken place, then as it turns out, the island scenes were the flashback.

                  Charlie. Saddened.
I just wish they had made his death seem more necessary. If he had sacrificed himself for a valid reason or if the door had been blasted shut. As it was filmed it just seemed like a pointless suicide.

Sawyer. Just.... hell, that boy needs therapy.
You're talking about a guy who "became" the man who killed his parents. He's never been right.

                  Ben. What a fuck-up.
He sure got beaten the fuck up.

                  I think that's everyone.
Locke, what a fuck-up. He murdered Naomi in cold blood. Although I'm sure not-Walt gave him a good reason.

                  Questions:

                  What now?

Apparently, the losties are about to be rescued but this will not be a good thing and by the middle of next year we may be seeing more of bearded Jack.
What will he know then that he doesn't know now? Oceanic gave all the survivors a lifetime "golden pass" for unlimited flights which Jack has been using in the hopes that his plane will crash again.

Will Jack ever get back, or is the story and his life virtually over?

Who's is the coffin? Sawyer? Ben?

It's going to be a loooooooong wait.

Yep, I really enjoyed the finale. I agree that Charlie's sacrifice should have been handled better, it really seems like he could have escaped and should have tried to.

I was halfway convinced that the Jack "flashback" segments were actually flashforwards, but I wasn't sure and definitely was not expecting Kate to show up at the end.

I'm in the "Ben's body is in the coffin" camp. Someone questioned why Jack would be tearing up if it was Ben who had died, but I believe that Jack thought that Ben was his best hope of getting back to the island and therefore he would be pretty torn up by his death.

I loved how they handled Sawyer, Rousseau, Hurley, and Ben. Not so sure about Kate (I think her character would have headed to the beach for sure when Sawyer forbade her to) and Charlie. I figured Locke would mess up the rescue somehow or another, but frankly I think he would have shot Jack (even if "only" in the leg) to stop him from making that phone call.

The Russian guy seems to have something going for him like Locke does. He has appeared to be dead or at least very badly injured only to pop up again twice now.

I'm not even close to being ready to wait eight months for new episodes!

Well, now that season 4 is well underway, what do folks think?

I'm liking it a lot. Especially episodes 1 and 3, the last thing I wanted was flashbacks for new characters like we had in episode 2.

I will say that I was ahead of the writers for once and knew who Sayid was working for before the end of last night's episode. Holy cow there were a lot of stone cold killers on Oceanic 815!

I sure hope the strike ended in time for the to finish all 16 episodes for this season.

It's my understanding that they only managed to finish eight before the strike, but that they are now going back to shoot an additional five, for a total of 13 rather than the intended 16. If anybody has any different infromation, by all means feel free to dispute those numbers. There was also some talk that ABC was going to move the series to Thursday nights in the spring, so perhaps that will happen for the final block of episodes.

Those are the right numbers. 13 episodes total for this season.

Are the "missing" three episodes going to be added to seasons 5 & 6 or are they gone forever?

They're compressing their planned storyline into the new five for this season. The producers hope to be able to fit the "orphaned three" into the two remaining seasons.

Hehe, it was quite funny when he was in Berlin. Though the short scene when he was out on the street obviously was shot in Berlin, not even the waiter in the café was a real german. I could tell from the discernible accent.

Errr, I'm confused. I thought Season 4 would be the final one... :?
