I have no idea why "book season" is the summer. About 4 series (as of today)I try to follow all come out in July, and now is the time I want to curl up inside, well away from NY wind chills. Crazy.

First off Mr. Jordan said that it would be 13 books shortly after the last book was released. Secondly, he was diagnosed with amyloidosis in march of last year and has been going back and forth to the Mayo Clinic for Chemotherapy through out this past year. I'll cut the guy some slack, but I'm not cutting the books any. When that series started it was outstanding. The first four were some of the best I've read, period. The rest were utter garbage with brief moments of old glory. Jordan's Wheel of Time is probably the best example I've ever seen of ungodly wasted potential, even outrunning Tad Williams.
I hope the guy gets better, truly. I'd really like him to write something great again.Radhil Trebors
