Heads up: If anyone is missing seasons of TV shows, Barnes and Noble is having a cleanout of their horribly overpriced DVD section. All TV show sets (set being defined roughly as more than thirty bucks) are buy one get one free. Don't know for how much longer. Picked up both Lost sets for the price of a Christmas gift card myself. Only wished they had the sets for Twilight Zone.

Technically, the sets are full-priced.
I must check this out.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Meanwhile Deep Discount DVD is running one of their periodic B1G1 sales (with the "buy" price being their already discounted price, not MSRP) on select boxed sets with free standard shipping. And Best Buy is still running their special on Fox TV on DVD titles, $19.99 for select sets the normally sell for $29.99 to $49.99. (The DDD sale also seems to be mostly Fox titles, so maybe the studio is an extra discount to retailers.)
Last year I managed to get all six seasons of Highlander from Deep Discount for under $90. When the series was first released the street price per season was over $100.

Well, they're 15% off MSRP for all buyers
I shouldn't complain now with the sale and all, but *shrug*
I'll have to check out Deep Discount. To do list.Radhil Trebors

I love when they do that. It makes tv shows pretty cheap.I'm gonna head down today. Plus I'm a B&N member so I get the discount on that, it works.

I happened to notice Arrested Development Vol. 3 there for $26.98 (member price) before shipping, but there was nothing else in that sale that I was dying to have. So I went over to half.com and got a brand new, sealed set for $17.50 (which included the shipping).Mac Breck (KoshN)

I'm pretty happy with the arrangement. I recently got Monk Season 1 for $19.95. Not bad.Ranger Code

It's 25 bucks for a flat 10% off the top of everything in the store. So it's worth it if you're gonna spend more than $250 a year in a place like that. Between hardcovers and tech books, I easily do.Radhil Trebors

I don't normally buy hardcovers. I should, though, as they make better bathroom books. Just like Ralphy said in A Christmas Story, the bathroom is the only place to get some privacy. Get you a padded toilet seat, use the hamper as a little desk and read away!
I got the first season of Arrested Development for $20 at Best Buy. Not too bad, but AmyG beat me.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. I was in Target at lunch time today, picking up a gift for my aunt, and was surprised to see Bones season one for $19.99. Had to buy it. (Emily Deschanel, 'nuff said.)
They also had some great deals on back-catalog movies on sale for anyone looking to fill gaps in their collections. Groundhog Day (the greatest film ever made) for a mere $6.60. Ghostbusters for the same price. Young Frankenstein (the newer remastered anamorphic version previously only available with Mel Brooks Collection) for either $9.99 or $13.99. (I forget which display it was on since I already have it.)
I may have to pick-up Action on Deep Discount DVD, along with season 1 of Barney Miller - that would be both for a little over $10 each. They also have volumes 1 & 2 of the Forever Knight trilogy in their B1G1 sale. That's another set I've already completed, but if anyone has been considering it, now's the time to get off the fence.

I went ALL OVER TOWN today. The B&N sale is pretty bunk. I tried different combinations and the sale would save me zero money. Doctor Who series one set is $99.99. Hell no!
Circuit City has some surprisingly low prices. Dead Like Me was only $29.99. They had sets literally STACKED. Looks like they're gearing up for a sale this weekend or something.
Game Stop and Game X Change had used sets for the price of brand new sets at DDDVD.com. What a waste of time today was.Recently, there was a reckoning.
