  • President Ford Has Died

Former US President Gerald Ford has passed away at the age of 93.

    cnn's obit.

He is also the father of Steven Ford. Steven was Sheridan's first officer in the B5 movie In the Beginning, so there is a B5 connection.

This is one of the rare times where I agree with a mod / admin editing a post. "The President has died" is far too vague. I had happened to see the news about Ford's death so I knew who you were referring to, but if I hadn't, reading a headline like that I'd have immediately thought you were talking about the sitting president.

Former President Gerald Ford died today...senselessly at the age of ninety-three.

Don't worry about Bush, OmahaStar...Gavin Newsom will team up with powerful and ancient extraterrestrials and stage a coup to remove him from office.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Senselessly? The man had not been well the last year, at least. He was also advanced in his years, at age 93. He lived a long, long life. Good for him.

I have no idea who Gavin Newsom is. What book/tv show is he from?

I'm surprised you would even assume this was about the current President. There are five men to whom this would also apply - either of the Bushes, Clinton, Carter, and Ford. They are all equally Mr. President. Though some can't seem to grasp this concept. It makes me wonder whether they actually studied their American History.

President Ford is dead.....eaten by wolves. He was delicious.

              Yeah, I stole that.

But silly, LIM. That Newsom E.T. stuff is just silly. Everyone knows that Bush is really part of the secret, evil Draconian bloodline who has enslaved the human race. All praise be to the Illuminati! The Great Eye sees all!

                1. You don't get the bit. Google my eaten by wolves line from above.

                2. Gavin Newsom = liberal douche (technically Green but that usually equals the same thing) mayor of San Fran. The only good thing he's done in life is divorce news babe Kimberley Guilfoyle. I love that big Joker smile of hers.

                3. Yes, we understand this, but you definitely understand that 99.99% of the time when someone in the news is talking about "the President", they mean the one in there now. Not, say, John Quincy Adams.

John Quincy Adams is dead?! When did this happen?

Read the above. Get the Best of Dana Carvey SNL DVD. One of the best SNL sketches ever. Ever. The concept is that Brokaw pre-taped months of news so that he could take long vacations. The producers would have him cover all sorts of possible future news stories.

And my Newsom comment came from what somebody (probably colonyearth) saying that Newsom was like Sheridan for breaking SF away from the US by allowing gay marriage.

And I have had dreams about Kimberly's mouth.

actully i'm serious. he wasn't ellected he held office for only a few months right? he had watergate aftermath to deal with, and at 93 he hardly died befre his time, there was nothing special i know of about this pres

ok maybe it wasn't phrased diplomaticly but i'm blunt
from my point of view its much more important that james brown died and no one here is talking about that

the man was 93 he had kids and grand kids. people die, its part of life is there some reason i should care about this death? as far as i can tell he was one of the least important pres of all time (maybe with the exception of taft) i mean most people don't even know who he was (me included)

You're not still living there, are you?

New thread button is on the upper left. And that was crappy news too.

I mean, seriously, you don't care, fine, it's just puzzling that you care enough to post that you don't care...
