Today's B7 news prompted me to update the thread on this long-running saga as well ..... according to the Portmeirion Hotel's official website, the latest remake attempt is now a "definite go" for late summer 2008
The Sky / AMC remake fell through in late 2007 (link), after which ITV (ack!) seem to have moved to the rescue. The seemingly endless attempts to remake the series were the subject of an Independent article last year, and Six-of-One have a page listing the last couple of years worth of attempts here.

Hey thanks for the info. Some friends and I were wondering what happened to this project just this past Saturday night while having a drink after NY Comic Con.
In my view if there's no Portmeirion it's just not "The Prisoner".
