I have but one with that dreaded soup ads.. when I first got to that page I was thinking... "C'mon, what's that? The translator got an aneurism or what?". It took me aprox. half of the page to recognize it as an advertisment... I am sure NOT to buy that brand now, so I guess I am "non standard advertisment receiver", as they think something that bugs you gets you to buy something... but that's a different discussion altogether.
I got "Klonk" yesterday... can't wait to start reading (didn't start yesterday because I came home late, can't start today, because I will come home late, but will DEFINETLY start the day after. I found it is easier not to begin than to stop reading with PTerry *g*), I hope to find it on the usual line of humor and character portraits 8-)

"Wee Free Men" and "Hat Full of Sky" are nice, I haven't mentioned them because they are part of the Discworld for me 8-)
(I haven't read Wintersmith, but if it is on the line of the other two I *will* like it *g*)
Strangely I didn't like the Carpet People (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Carpet_People), which kinda frustrates me, because I like *everything* from PTerry... with that exception 8-/
One possibility would be - as I read in german, I *could* read in english, but I am lazy that way *gg* - that the translation was crap.

Don't forget the Broomiliad trilogy (Truckers, Diggers and Wings) and the tiffinay Aching books (also set in Discworld) Wee Free Men, Hat Full of Sky and Wintersmith.
Also the Carpet People.

IF you liked Good Omens you might even consider buying the "children books" from PTerry, "Only You Can Save Mankind", "Johnny and the Dead" and "Johnny and the Bomb" (eg. as the "The Johnny Maxwell Slipcase" for fewer bucks). They are for children, but not stupid. You can get something out of them as a grown up...

I wore out a paperback Good Omens. I have read that book far more often than is good for me, I'm sure. No worries though, got the hardcover reprint so it can take it now. *twitch*

Terry Pratchett is the single most underrated writer in the English language. A spectacularly terrific writer.

What did you think of the show so far then?
I'm not too happy with the voice over for the Auditors, they sounded too whiny, and I don't think anyone could play Nobby Nobbs the way I think of him. The descriptions surely cannot match any actor known to man!
