A side note I put in an application earlier at another walmart, not the store that I am asking about now.I can't remember the name but she called and scheduled an interview for the next day.The lady I had spoken to called bright and early to move back the interview for a later time cause of some with printing out the application .Just as I was preparing to leave she called again to cancel the interview for the same reason stated earlier .I kept it cordial and told her I was still very much interested in the position and hoped to hear from again .After a day and a half I did not hear I called up the personal manager and we got to talking and she said the job that I had applied to had been offered to someone else .

Speaking of which..I've got a couple of questions for you privately Amy. Would it be cool to email you about that?

If you mean, "Is Wal-Mart unfairly portrayed as a despicable corporate entity that discriminates against its female employees, ignores labor laws, doesn't provide health care to many of its employees, etc. etc. etc.?" then the answer woul be a resounding yes.

Apply somewhere else! Run, do not walk, to the local Kelly Services and apply somewhere else!

What I would do is send a short note to the person who interviewed you and thank them for their time. Express your continuted interest in the position and let them know that you look forward to hearing from them soon about the next step in the process.

It's an old-fashioned way of doing things but can be quite effective.

    Good luck.
