  • Google's Conversational AI, Bard's take on Vorlons and Shadows

I was granted access yesterday to Google's experiment conversational AI, Bard ( https://bard.google.com/ ). This is Google's response to Microsoft's ChatGPT.

Out of curiosity, I asked Bard about Vorlons and Shadows, and related Babylon 5 topics. This was some of Bard's responses. Sorry for the really long post, but I thought some of jms' fans would be interested and did not want to risk jms seeing what could be considered story ideas.

    = = = = = = = =

Which ancient civilization do you like better, the Vorlons or the Shadows?

I do not have a preference for either the Vorlons or the Shadows. Both civilizations were ancient and powerful, and both had a significant impact on the galaxy. The Vorlons were a race of benevolent beings who sought to guide the younger races, while the Shadows were a race of malevolent beings who sought to control and dominate the galaxy. Both civilizations were complex and fascinating, and I believe that both have something to offer the modern viewer.

    = = =

I don't have a favorite ancient civilization. Both the Vorlons and the Shadows were highly advanced civilizations with their own unique cultures and technologies. I find it interesting to learn about their history and how they interacted with each other.

    = = =

I don't like either the Vorlons or the Shadows. They were both ancient civilizations that fought a destructive war that lasted for thousands of years. The Vorlons were trying to force peace on the galaxy, while the Shadows were trying to conquer it. Both sides were willing to sacrifice millions of lives to achieve their goals.

I believe that the best way to live is in peace and harmony with others. Both the Vorlons and the Shadows were wrong to use violence to achieve their goals. I hope that we can learn from their mistakes and create a better future for ourselves.

    = = =

I don't have a preference for either of the ancient civilizations, the Vorlons or the Shadows. Both civilizations were highly advanced and had a significant impact on the development of the younger races. However, both civilizations also had their own flaws and weaknesses. The Vorlons were often seen as being too controlling and manipulative, while the Shadows were seen as being too ruthless and destructive. Ultimately, I believe that both civilizations were necessary for the evolution of the younger races.

Tell me a story about a Vorlon and a Shadow who are good friends.

Once upon a time, there were two ancient beings who were the last of their kind. The Vorlon was a creature of light, while the Shadow was a creature of darkness. They had been enemies for centuries, but they had recently come to a truce.

The two beings were walking through a forest when they came across a young child who was lost. The Vorlon and the Shadow agreed to help the child find their way home.

As they walked, the Vorlon and the Shadow began to talk. They realized that they had a lot in common, despite their differences. They both loved the beauty of the world, and they both wanted to protect it.

The Vorlon and the Shadow became good friends. They continued to help the child find their way home, and they also helped each other to understand their own natures.

The Vorlon and the Shadow eventually parted ways, but they promised to stay in touch. They knew that they would always be there for each other, no matter what.

The Vorlon and the Shadow's friendship was a beacon of hope in a dark and uncertain world. It showed that even the most bitter enemies can find common ground, and that even the darkest of hearts can be redeemed.

    = = =

Once upon a time, there was a Vorlon and a Shadow who were good friends. The Vorlon was a creature of light, and the Shadow was a creature of darkness. But they had met in a strange place, and they had found common ground.

The Vorlon was lost, and the Shadow helped him find his way. The Vorlon was lonely, and the Shadow listened to his stories. The Vorlon was afraid, and the Shadow comforted him.

Over time, the Vorlon and the Shadow became good friends. They talked about their lives, their hopes, and their dreams. They shared their secrets with each other.

One day, the Vorlon asked the Shadow why he was a Shadow. The Shadow told him that he had been born into darkness, and that he had never known anything else. The Vorlon was saddened by the Shadow's story, but he understood.

The Vorlon told the Shadow that he would help him find light. The Shadow was grateful, and he agreed to let the Vorlon help him.

The Vorlon and the Shadow traveled together, and they had many adventures. They met other creatures, and they learned about the world. The Shadow began to see the light, and he was happy.

One day, the Vorlon and the Shadow came to a place where the light was very bright. The Shadow was blinded by the light, and he fell to the ground. The Vorlon helped the Shadow to his feet, and he told him that they had reached the end of their journey.

The Shadow was sad to see the Vorlon go, but he knew that he would never forget his friend. The Vorlon told the Shadow that he was always welcome to come back to the light. The Shadow smiled, and he said that he would.

The Vorlon and the Shadow parted ways, but they were never truly apart. They were always friends, and they would always be there for each other.

    = = =

Once upon a time, there was a Vorlon and a Shadow who were good friends. They had met in the war between the two races, and they had found common ground in their shared hatred of violence.

The Vorlon was named Kosh, and he was a wise and ancient creature. He had seen the galaxy at its best and its worst, and he had a deep understanding of the universe.

The Shadow was named Valen, and he was a fierce and powerful warrior. He was determined to win the war for his people, and he was not afraid to use any means necessary.

Kosh and Valen were very different creatures, but they had come to respect each other. They knew that they could not defeat the other race without the help of their friend, and they were willing to put aside their differences to achieve peace.

Kosh and Valen worked together to find a way to end the war. They talked to each other's people, and they tried to find common ground. They knew that it would be difficult, but they were determined to succeed.

Finally, Kosh and Valen were able to broker a peace treaty. The two races agreed to stop fighting, and they began to work together to rebuild their worlds.

Kosh and Valen were proud of what they had accomplished. They had shown the galaxy that it was possible for two different races to live in peace. They had also shown that friendship was more powerful than hatred.

Kosh and Valen continued to be friends after the war. They often talked about the war, and they shared their experiences with each other. They also talked about the future, and they dreamed of a galaxy where all races could live in peace.

David's mother tried to comfort him, but he was inconsolable. He didn't want to talk to anyone, and he didn't want to do anything. He just wanted his father back.

A few days later, David was visited by a Vorlon. The Vorlon told David that his father was still alive, and that he was being held prisoner by the Shadows. The Vorlon also told David that he could help him rescue his father.

David was overjoyed. He begged the Vorlon to help him save his father. The Vorlon agreed, and he took David to a secret location. There, David was given a Vorlon ship, and he was told to fly to the Shadow planet.

Write a story treatment of a television series about Psi Cops in the Babylon 5 universe.

        = = =

Here is a story treatment of a television series about Psi Cops in the Babylon 5 universe:

The year is 2261. The Babylon 5 space station is a hub of commerce and diplomacy in the Earth-Minbari Alliance. But there is another force at work on the station, one that is not always visible to the naked eye. The Psi Corps is a group of telepaths who are trained to use their powers to protect the Alliance from its enemies.

The Psi Cops are led by Bester, a powerful telepath who is both feared and respected. Bester is determined to maintain order on the station, and he is willing to use any means necessary to achieve his goals.

The Psi Cops are not without their enemies. The Shadows, a mysterious race of aliens, are opposed to the Psi Corps and everything they stand for. The Shadows are constantly working to undermine the Psi Corps and destabilize the Alliance.

The Psi Cops are a group of dedicated individuals who are willing to put their lives on the line to protect the Alliance. They are a force to be reckoned with, and they will not rest until the Shadows are defeated.

The series would follow the Psi Cops as they investigate crimes and threats on the station. They would also be involved in political intrigue and galactic affairs. The series would explore the moral and ethical implications of telepathy, and the Psi Cops would be forced to make difficult decisions that could have far-reaching consequences.

The series would be set in the Babylon 5 universe, but it would be able to stand on its own as a unique and exciting series. The Psi Cops would be a fascinating group of characters, and their stories would be sure to capture the imagination of viewers.

          = = =

Sure! Here is a song about John Sinclair, Delenn and their son David Sinclair:

          (Verse 1)
          John Sinclair and Delenn,
A love that could not be.
          They came from different worlds,
But they found each other in the stars.

          (Chorus)
And now they have a son,
          David Sinclair,
          A child of both worlds,
          A child of hope.

          (Verse 2)
          David Sinclair,
          A bright and shining star,
He will grow up to be a man,
Who will bridge the divide between the stars.

          (Chorus)
He will be a symbol of peace,
          Of hope and of love,
          A child of both worlds,
          A child of the stars.

          (Bridge)
          David Sinclair,
          The future of our hope,
          He will bring us together,
          And make us one.

          (Chorus)
He will be a symbol of peace,
          Of hope and of love,
          A child of both worlds,
          A child of the stars.

          (Outro)
          David Sinclair,
          The future of our hope,
          He will bring us together,
          And make us one.

              Jan,

I must have been very tired to have written John Sinclair and David Sinclair. Here is a revised song from Google Bard:

Write a song about John Sheridan, Delenn and their son David Sheridan.

              = = =

              (Verse 1)
John Sheridan was a man of war,
              Delenn was a diplomat,
And their son David was a child of two worlds.

              (Chorus)
              They were a family,
              A team,
A force for good in the galaxy.

              (Verse 2)
              They faced many challenges together,
But they always stood by each other.
              They fought for peace,
              They fought for justice,
And they fought for a better future.

              (Chorus)
              They were a family,
              A team,
A force for good in the galaxy.

              (Bridge)
David was taken from them too soon,
              But his memory lives on.
He was a symbol of hope,
              A symbol of peace,
And a symbol of the future.

              (Chorus)
              They were a family,
              A team,
A force for good in the galaxy.

              (Outro)
John Sheridan, Delenn, and David Sheridan,
Their legacy will live on forever.
