Let me guess, Norton or Zone Alarm, it just giving you a notice of someone who is scanning your port range, no one is actually trying to hack into your computer, you only need to ignore those messages and keep your firewall up and running.

Port 1026 runs some calender app I've never heard of, but I'm also getting references to MSN Messenger spam attempts. I'd guess that's what it really is.

If you are hooked up to the internet you will get hammered by attempts on your box all day, every day, every second. I put a sniffer on a friends box as I set it up and recorded 15 probes within the first five minutes of hooking it up to the DSL service - and by all measures, that's a small number. So expect this like you expect rain hitting your roof in a storm - you can ignore the warning and even turn them off so long as you know your security program (usually a firewall) is blocking them.

ZoneAlarm is a good product. Get that if you can. I don't know what "unnamed" program you're using, but be aware that a lot of fake programs exist that pretend it's intercepting things but is really screwing your computer over. BraveSentry is one of those I see a lot of lately. Don't install something you see in a flash ad. Get the real deal.

A router with NAT is a near bulletproof protection against attacks, but also requires a bit more knowhow (and cashola) to set up.

I did a google search and came up with the same response ,but did not really come up with a way tp block off the port.It supposed a fault in Windows which was discovered by spammers and they been exploiting it ever since .Beyond that I can't remember too much else only what was given didn't help .

The unnamed product is called Mcaffee .I am unsure whether I will be renewing I will make that decision when it expires.
