  • Did Anyone Ever Watch Starhunter?

This show lasted about 2 seasons and season 2 was completely different than season 1 with a bigger budget and a better flowing storyline. It had a nice charm to it, being one of the lowest budget space shows I've seen (maybe other than Red Dwarf) and the overall storyline was really interesting. It got cut off before its time, but the dvds are out in a weird format. 2/3 of the first season are out, which doesn't allow us to see the cliffhanger that gets us to Season 2, which ends without resolution. But I suggest it

I just saw the DVD for this series in Best Buy today. The DVD said "the complete series / all 22 episodes." I think this set is the entire first season together. It was released in mid-2007:

Yes, the 2nd season is titled Starhunter 2325 or something like that. Originally, they only released the first season with 2 discs, missing the last 7 episodes of the season. So this is good.

The storyline of the show is really interesting, and could have provided for some great sci-fi opportunities. Production value's low. Better in the 2nd season. I think it was worth watching.

I watched about half of the first season... I am undecided, I like the story and the characters, but they act "weird" some times... when my ship gets shot at I don't stay in quaters, the young girl acts especially weird all the time. Maybe I need to be a father to understand it *g*

Anyway, interresting story, but broken in pieces and not really connected with some episodes. Compared to Babylon 5: It seems as if there where "two stories told", one about the "big picture", and one about a headhunter crew, trying to make a living... they don't connect, only by chance. I don't get the feeling as if the captain (or anyone else) is destined to something...

        Last episode was nice,
when the ugly trickster showed himself as an orchid spy, I didn't see that comming! And it was brilliant, down to his meddling with the mind, I hope they use that character again!
