  • The Concept of Webisodes

I'm just wondering if anyone's watched any of the recent shows that have web episodes that are little two minite snips or so coming out every week to make a full episode. The Office did it and so has Battlestar Galactica. I haven't seen the BSG one yet, because I'd rather wait for all of them to come out to watch the whole story at once, but I thought The Office one really wasn't up to par with the show, but was still amusing.

I'm just wondering what you guys thought of the concept in general, or the specific ones.

I dont' mind them... although i don't like the fact they have restrictions on them. I can tape my sci-fi shows to watch again later. I can't save the webisodes... at least the BSG ones without jumping through some hoops.

As for quality of content, to BSG one is good so far.

Doctor Who has it's Tardisodes (5 min previews for series 2 which link to the episode but are outside it).

I wish they were a bit less flimsy.

But I nice idea if developed a bit more.

Sweet, I can't wait to watch it then. I think the format where you ahve to watch 1.5 min and a trailer every time is irritating. i wish they'd offer a combined feature. I'm sure they'll be released as an ep with the season 3 dvds though. BSG's good with packaging extras.

Galactica's webepsiodes are O.K, nothing more, i can already tell its going to be a weak season (lots of the action will be on ground as oppose to in space).

But hey i could be wrong.

And you will be . I've seen the spoilers and they will be getting back into space sooner than you think.

They've already said they were going to ditch the ground stuff after the first few episodes. Jeez..we're kinda giving spoilers already and should probably be careful for people who haven't watched the show. And if someone's reading this and haven't...it's really the best thing since B5 to hit television, go buy the dvds!

At least we didn't tell Ranger about that scene with Starbuck and Boomer in the swimming pool...

OK, I'm just making stuff up now.

I suggest we get a letter writing campaign to sci-fi to make that happen!
