  • StarGate SG1 - Cancelled

Mother Fraking Bonnie Hammer, may she rest in pieces.

SG1 is cancelled. That's right. The same bitch who refused to let Rangers go to series has now cancelled SG1, on the eve of its 200th episode.

Meh.......Rangers wasn't really that good at all. There are plenty of bizarre conspiracy theories about how they wanted the pilot to fail. It failed because it really wasn't that entertaining.

As for SG1, do they still have one more season to air? I thought a new season was going to be airing soon, or has it been airing already? It's had a good, long run, so you can't really say that they cut it short before it's time. 200 episodes.

All the same, I love both Ben Browder and Claudia Black from Farscape, so I'm sorry that they'll need to be finding another job.

I'm glad that it is ending now. SG-1 has been very very bad these past 2 seasons. S1-S6 were great, S7 and S8 were so-so, and it has totally sucked since S9. Stargate Atlantis will live on though, so the franchise isn't dead.

S10 started a little bit ago. Sci-Fi will show the rest of S10, they didn't cancel the show, they didn't renew it for S11. It will have like 214 episodes when it ends, a nice long run.

Thank God. That show should have ended years ago, creatively.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

I actually think SG-1 has been better than it has been in a while. They've hit on a great idea with this Ori plotline.

I heard that this season's been picking up much better than season 9 was. I really like Ben and Claudia, having been a big farscape fan. Though I admit, I'm watching from the DVDs trying to catch up and I'm only on season 4. I konw I'll try to save it. It's the only show out there that still has that TNG kinda feel to it, which I miss.

This is a pretty creative letter writing campaign deal. I think I might join up with them. http://laundr.us/

Ya, 10 years is a good run. Let it rest on a good note i think. I also enjoyed the earler seasons more than the later ones.

200th episode was great though. Made fun of all science fiction very well.

Now there are repots of TPTB want to merge SG1 and SGA. Bad idea.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the SG1 cast having recurring guest roles on SGA.

Namely, Ben Browder and Claudia Black. Maybe Teal'C.

well my first response is and was "those cocksuckers!" just when the show is getting interesting again, season 9 was good season 8 sucked, season 7 was halfway so far only 1 ep this season isn't all that good, if they can tie up the various threads in a good neat package give us closure then i will deal, but if they pull a farscape on me i'll be so totally beyond PISSED

Not recurring, regular. I also do not want to see Vala again, she was one of the things that killed SG-1. Not CB, not her fault, it's the bad writing. Same thing with BB, horrible writing for the character. The show died after S8 for me.

Well the last three major plots always ended like "OH, what have we here?! A super weapon to get rid of the oh so unbeatable enemy. Hurrah for some formerly unknown entity who placed it somewhere we could accidentally find it..."
So I also think it's high time they let it end. And 10 seasons is more than enough for a show IMO.

But don't get me wrong, I also liked the Ori plot and the King Arthur story woven into it to a certain degree...

Btw, has anyone actually seen ep200 yet?
                          For those who did:
I almost fell off my chair when Claudia(Vala) depicted her idea featuring some characters she met somewhere else.

Oh, and SG-Atlantis is awfull IMHO.
                          What's up Drakh?
