  • Yeah, and gets burned at the stake for saying that the Democrats lack the guts to do so...

Weird thing is, that this guy is being villified over his 'politically incorrect' writings and all. Which makes him interesting to me bacause I think that nowadays, political correctness is usually a way of hiding your true intentions/feelings. But most of the rest of his stuff is quite funny and harmless.
Is there something going on that I am not aware of? (Well obviously, but I mean related to this guy).

Update *** Can anyone supply me with a good and factual link about George Bush's plans with those prescription drugs?

Which is why the Dems are out of power.

And are likely to remain that way.

      • Wow, I was reading the early pages here.

Some world-class derangement by many. Geez, I'd have been embarrassed to post any of those posts whining about the right. Comically inane.

ZHD ws the only one with even the most rudimentary grasp of common sense early on.

          • Your respect is of precious little worth to me. Not my fault that the early pages of this folder were full of derangement.

And, nice to see the PA vote in terrorists to run the government. Arafat's biggest fear in life was that he'd actually GET a Palestinian state because they have NO clue how to govern and it will all fall apart (at which point, of course, Israel will be blamed). People whine that the war in Iraq is producing more terrorists --- but that Palestinians willingly voting FOR terrorists is not as big a deal.

It's time for the US to yank every red dime of funding to the PA. If the EU wishes to continue, they can knock themselves out, but it's time for the US to stop it. And it's GREAT that the US is finally stating that if the UN will not cease its incessant funding of people who wish the outright destruction of Israel that we will stop contributing money. About bloody time. The UN has supported the Palestinians over Israel fairly non-stop and is the single most anti-Semitic multinational body on Earth.

Quite frankly, after looking at some of the early posts myself, if you're going to have posters come here and say that ZHD doesn't have the right to present his opinion on politics, ONLY JMS DOES~!, then you're pretty much opening yourself up for ridicule.

Okay, folks stop it. Let's not start a war over posts that are a year old[Edit: Almost 2 years old!]!

Mike, Vyce...just out of curiosity, why do you allow ZD/LiM to manipulate you the way he does? Seems like every time he mentions these forums over at The Pit forums, you both come trotting over here to see what's up. Given the names used to refer to some of us over there, I really don't see why you bother. But then, I don't see why ZD/LiM hangs out here, either if his opinions as expressed over there are true. Perhaps he's just posturing for his friends....

At any rate, I'd firmly suggest that people go back to posting about current topics.

Yes, ZHD "manipulates" me. BWA HA HA HA! Hilarity! I am LITERALLY rolling about that one.

Anybody who posts there who knows the stereotypes would find this REALLY funny.

Because a differing view is, as usual, not appreciated. Echo chambers are SO much better and much more fun, right? It's fun to pretend ALL kinds of things when you don't have to actually back up what you believe.

And since you ignored the topic of the PA voting in Hamas and my belief that we should cut ALL funding to them, I'll give you a new one.

Why does science NOT have the reputation of being the exceptionally political machine it is? Science, somehow, has this image of being a "pursuit of the truth", when far too often, it is a pursuit to "back up" a popular political theory.

For example, let's look at, say, global warming. A scientific theory with paper thin evidence behind it. A theory powered by the usage of intentionally vague terminology without any actual definition of the terms. A theory where we are expected to change our lifestyle, but nobody can prove that the theory is
                        1) accurate
                        2) a problem
                        3) how big a problem it is (predictions amongst environmentalists have never come to fruition. Ever)
                        4) that the problem is man-made.

We have scientific journals with editorial stands on issues, ignoring that, by definition, having an editorial stand will skew the coverage and will immediately denounce opponents. We have studies from environmentalists that aren't viewed as being as incredibly biased as industry studies.

Sad thing is, this isn't the first time this has happened. This has happened many times in the past. There are numerous examples of a junk science theory that managed to get celebrities behind it and a few scientists. The theory is promoted over and over, but it is never actually proven.

So, has science ever, legitimately, been apolitical? It definitely is not presently. It was not for at least the past century.

Was actually referring to environmentalism (also works with eugenics (which was rather widely accepted at the start of the century), the African AIDS epidemic, etc).

By definition, once proven, it's no longer a theory. Gravity is just a theory, too.

I've generally thought of many schools of science as being closer to religion than politics but fanaticism is fanaticism regardless of the label.

Part of the problem, at it's root, is that people *want* to believe in authority figures and often place too much faith in those in whom they choose to believe. To use an everyday example, people also tend to think that medicine is a much more exact science than it is. Most medicine is actually a process of elimination rather than a 'hard' science.

What's the theory about the African AIDS epidemic?

Aw Jan, it must be a Leftwing-Euro-Crypto-communist-Terrorist plot(initiated by the French of course, who else?) to disgrace the U.S. by causing AIDS in Africa. You know : the stuff us socialists do while we secretly support Hamas so they can obliterate Israel. Obviously six million jews were not enough so we thought "Hey! Let's let the Arabs finish the job". Of course we do all this only after we have eaten their babies.

It's all very simple stuff really, once you have been taught by DM and companions it all makes perfect sense.

Oh HolD On!!! NonononoNO!! I was WrOnG! Silly me... It all is obviously a European plot to blame George W. Sorry sorry sorry, I should have know better...Stupid me.

(It is getting increasingly hilarious to read the trolling in this thread. Brilliant! And to realize that we are being mentioned on another forum WOW! There's true recognition for you Jan! Got a link? ).

I'm having a whale of a time reading some of these highly informed 'opinions'
And if I keep reading this thread I might end up as a Fantasy-writer after all! I'll have enough material, that's for sure.

P.S. No links to the 'prescription-drugs plan' so far? Anyone?

@WillieStealAndHow: Tom Cruise perhaps? Nah, 'Intelligent 'and 'Scientology' don't really go together in one sentence. lol!
