Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

To the USA contingent
Regardless of how we differ in our opinions and beliefs, let's everybody make sure we get out and VOTE today! Whether your side wins or loses, you'll make your voice heard. The only wasted vote is the one that's not cast.

Agreed Jan.
Fortunately, my polling place is at the fire house on the next block, so one quick walk this morning and I had voted and was back home by 7:15 am scrambling up some eggs for breakfast.Got movies? www.filmbuffonline.com

ah yes, the old principle of "vote early and often"
Phaze
on the "first day back in work form ale-drinking trip - 'twas kinda fun" ID"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

In the state of Missouri, there might just be people voting multiple times with different names.Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Idiot: You're the type that voted for George Bush, aren't ya?
Norton: NO, sir, I don't vote. I talk a lot of shit, and then I sit home on election day.
I voted a couple hours ago. Voted for Senator Macaca......I mean, Allen.....because even though I've soured on him, I don't want a Democrat-led Senate. Plus something about Webb really creeps me out. So I held my nose and voted for Allen, though I don't like his chances.
Also voted for Tom O'Donoghue. I don't really know much about him, really, other than he was running against Jim Moran, so he automatically got my vote. I can't stand Moran. Fucking anti-semitic prick. Of course, I live in a district full of fucking hardcore liberals, so I don't expect it to even be close. Great, a couple more years of THAT asshole representing me.
Only other thing of importance at my local elections was the proposed anti-gay marriage amendment. I voted against that, Cheesmo."I don't find myself in the same luxury as you. You want MY predictions (not on the results, which have been pretty obvious for months)?
1. The GOP will not pull a Florida 2000 (also known as an Ohio 2004) and whine about fraud.
2. Remember the "Get Osama" plan? The wee majority that the Democrats gain will be wasted with "Get Bush."
3. Within eighteen months, Bush will have kowtowed so far that we will have repealed numerous anti-terrorism measures. Within another eighteen months after that, we will be hit by another terrorist attack. I wasn't one of those morons who WANTED the Democrats to win so that America could be reminded of how they are. But now that they do have a majority, the reminders will come nonetheless.
I am not too worried about having a Democrat governor now, since the current Republican one raised taxes higher than any other AR governor in history.Recently, there was a reckoning. I heard that Bush has already been saying that he hopes for an atmosphere of mutual cooperation and bipartisanship.
Now THAT's what I call hypocritical. This, coming from the leader of a party that has worked staunchly toward a 'winner-takes-all' political system since the day George W. took office. In a sense you have to admire the nerve displayed by the Republican Party.
Anyway, I take it that the Democrats have won the House but not the Senate(yet), right?"En wat als tijd de helft van echtheid was, was alles dan dubbelsnel verbaal?"
