Alternate Christmas Viewing

No real JMS connection, just a wee bit sci-fi. After hearing (strike that - reading) in another forum about "The Quiet Earth" I had a rummage on play.com and found for a rather ridiculous 6 euro 49 (free delivery). I've bought it and am hoping to add to my "alternative christmas viewing list" and was wondering if
a) anyone on here had seen it
and
b) What non-traditional viewing others here might be planning for late december/early January period

I shall be hopefully convincing my folks (who I shall be visiting) into watching Doctor Who with me and then hopefully convincing them to switch the gogglebox off. (I don't have one at home, horrid things.)

Tis the season to be hopeful.
