    Today ten years ago on May 20, 2008 "Changeling" premiered at the 61st Cannes Film Festival.

    Afterwards JMS was double-nominated:
    On the 62nd British Academy Film Awards for "Best Screenply"
    and
    on the 35th Saturn Awards for "Best Writing"

      It will be interesting to hear your thoughts 10 years FROM now when you do eventually do get around to watching it.

        The Changeling story was a very good one about a serious topic, but somehow it failed to grab me 100%. I do not know why. It gets even more mysterious as the production was fantastic, the movie looks amazing, sets, costumes, props, everything. Even Angelina did a great job. But for some reason I can only give it an Good rather than Great grade.

          I agree 100%. I don't believe any of the issues I have with THE CHANGELING have anything to do with JMS. I do admit that I have a bias against Jolie, but that is because I think she is highly overrated - though I feel THE CHANGELING might be her best work. lol I don't dislike the film. I just feel like Satai with Punsch, "Good rather than Great".

            Could it be that the movie have the same somewhat distanced type of storytelling a few have mentioned they do not like with Becoming Superman?
