Seems to me it's a buyer's market right now.

      • Having a bit of clear out again.

A few years back Jan was kind enough to allow me to advertise my eBay clear out of Big Finish audio CDs.

I have a few more in my latest clear out so I thought I'd raise it here again to see if anyone is interested.

        Link no longer needed.

Not much of a B5 connection this time sadly but there are a few Blakes 7, Doctor Who and Sapphire and Steel titles in the mix.

These may be more of interest to UK and Eire readers but if you are really keen on something I will pop out and get a postage price from the ladies at the post office to just about anywhere on this planet.

        • Just a note

I don't know how many folks here collect or collected the trading cards, but I used to buy a lot. I haven't read the posts in this thread with regard to this particular collectible, but this is worth mentioning even if I am repeating something that has been said many times before. If you are interested in purchasing unopened packs of B5 cards, buyer beware. I bought a few a little while back and got absolutely nothing worthwhile because all of the cards had become stuck together. I have seen this many times before and it is next to impossible to separate the cards without damaging them. Sometimes you get lucky and they come apart with a little tug, but for the most part you may as well throw them away. So, before you spend any money at all on unopened boxes or packs you should be very aware of this sad fact.

          • I know at least a couple of folks here collect the Laserdisks. I got a note from Summer (of the Bablyon Podcast) that she's got the original version of the Japanese import laserdisk of 'The Gathering' up on Ebay:

            • Lookee what I've won! It was originally listed for $450 but when that didn't sell, it was relisted with an opening price of $50 and I got it for $52.

I have a feeling that it'll live on top of my script bookcase right next to the cold cast bust of G'Kar! If I can lift it that high - it didn't really sink in just how heavy it is when I first bid.

Another piece of B5 history saved!

                OMG! THAT IS AWESOME ! ! !

I can't believe you got it for $52. That is incredible! I don't even look for stuff like that because I always imagine it is WAY out of my price range.

I expected a price jump at the last second but lucked out.

Many times stuff *is* way out of my price range. Heck there's a floating recorder that's been on sale for literally years now that I'd love to have but it's just not iconic enough to the series to spend over $700 for (even if I had that kind of cash). Another silly-priced item, also up for years is a door access panel. That one's almost $800! There are jumpsuits available for far too much, too.

I can't afford a lot but I've managed to snag some pretty cool bits and pieces. I honestly feel that B5's history is important and should be saved.

                  • yes Jan, it's for history to be saved you gain absolutely no pleasure from owning the items, you don't sit at night, holding the bust of g'kar, rocking quietly back and forth going "myyyy preeeeeeeeeciiooouuuus"

It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

LOL That is totally what I would be doing. LOL In my jumpsuit, looking at my door access panel repeatedly, with my floating recorder making a record of it all. LOL LOL LOL LMAO

Why would I do any of that when I can don my Grey Council robe and rule the galaxy (while drinking from my Earhart's mug which sits on my EA cocktail napkin as I watch the pak'mar'ra porn on my data crystal and keep a wary eye on my dormant Keeper)!

And Alan, it's looking like you might get the chance to see that and other items at PhxCC.

May I suggest a few heads from TNT-Atlanta, circa 1999?

If I knew who the SOBs were, I'd find some headshots of them and Photoshop them into the Cartagia "heads-on-the-table" scene. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
