Some scripts for sale... wonder if some of these will start selling more before the published scripts come out?

Possible. These things seem to go in cycles, though. At one point earlier this year there was a seller who had 15-20 of scripts from seasons 4 and 5. The first ones went for a lot and the last ones barely seemed to sell. Of course, with scripts, a lot depends on the episode.

This photo is always a favorite. It was taken at the end of the TV Guide photo shoot. Some of you may recall that when I was doing the fundraising for Rick Biggs' family, it auctioned for about $150 with just Rick's autograph. Then, the winner *sent it back* to me to raise more money with. I gathered a bunch more signatures and included it in one of my raffle packages. It's a favorite of mine, that's for sure.

This person must have quite a few copies of this as I have seen this about 3 times in the past few weeks. I wonder how many this seller actually has? I believe one of the earlier ones went for under $10.00.

Yeah, it's a regular item, at least from this seller. I think he's pretty consistant on his pricing but that he also has different sizes. If he's got the negative he can print copies any time he likes.

B5 coasters... look cool.. but are these athorized products or homemade things? And are these types of things legal to be selling? I see alot of this sort of stuff and not sure how to take it.

No, as far as I know, they're not licensed, nor are the t-shirts that same seller has. Whether WB would care enough to go after them, there's no telling.

I think there is another B5 magazine that was not in that auction. I have all the magazines except the No 4 American release .. but I also have 2 copies of No 16. They are alike in all respects except that one of them has a release date of Oct 1999 and the other a release date of Nov 1999 (No 17 is dated Nov 1999 also). Weird.

                          Desperately seaking Amazing Stories #599...

...The one with the G'Kar/Lyta story. I see that there was one on Ebay just a few weeks ago, but I found this thread just a little too late. Oh well... anyone have any extra copies?

Brendan, I'll keep an eye out.

For those who may not be able to get the script books but want to see what they look like, here are a few from the Fan Club that are quite reasonably priced (so far).

                            3 B5 scripts

I'm interested in knowing what other people have in "their B5/JMS memento collection", and what yall ever hope of doing with it later in life, or what yall might hope to get out of it, or even why yall (and me) are really doing it.

I have a substantial collection of *baseball cards*, and some other stuff, including other JMS comics. I could leave a link of my collection. I'll do it later .. later because my motive in asking this is what/why you are doing it .. not what *I* have.

What I hoped to get out of my collection? LOL, I had so much fun collecting it that I never really gave it too much thought what to do with it once I had it collected, or what I could ever get out of it should I decide to sale it. I know now I probably spent more for it than I could ever hope to get out of it. I've never seen it as an investment, but more of "I love JMS and B5 stuff, and I just had to collect it; no choice in the matter". I doubt I'd ever try to sale my stuff, and "cash out". But maybe just try to pass it on to somebody else that feels the same way.

I don't know, truthfully. What are yalls thoughts.

Most of the folks around here are familiar with my script collection. I've got legal (set-used, fan club or gotten from cast, crew or writers) copies of all of the scripts, including some unproduced ones. Aside from those, I've got some pretty cool 'artifacts' of the show including three 'white models' of the sets used in the Pilot, some concept art, some glassware and a data crystal.

What do I want out of it? Nothing, really. I just think it's *really* cool to own small pieces of what went into making such a great show. I never purchased any of it as an investment of any sort, but I *do* realize that they're assests and would, if necessary, sell some of them if I really needed to.

Assuming that I don't have to sell it off, I'm not sure who I'll pass it on to...possibly the Science Fiction Museum in Seattle. I included some items in the things I sold/raffled for the Richard Biggs fundraising, too so I'd part with it for a good cause.

For JMS memorabilia, I've got some signed comics and some of his older stuff autographed, too. One of my faves is the card he autographed that pictured him turning off the Station lights. Me: "Joe, you just signed over your face." JMS: "It's probably better that way."

                                Next?
