After the drawing for the B5 Mini Comic was announced on the main site here I went to eBay and after checking out some auctions got two issues of the mini comic for a reasonable price.
They got delivered two weeks later and I sent one to another B5 fan I met on another board ... she freaked out when she pulled it out of the mail

So, that is what I got off eBay for B5 so far. Otherwise I am not into comics, but this one was just so touching.

I want a life-sized N'Grath. Where else can you find a prop that was used on both Babylon 5 and Buffy?

And just out of curiosity, are those mini-comics worth anything? I know I grabbed a bunch of them from the box, along with the groovy flashing things, because I got to stand behind the table where the Warners people were giving them out, but I kept giving them out to all the little kids on line who couldn't get through the crush of people in front.

Joe, I've never seen N'grath on Ebay yet but I'll keep an eye out for you. There's some other guy who sells bits of prosthetic who you might find something used on both shows from.

If you got your mini comics autographed, I'm sure they'd be worth a bundle. I've got one that was signed by JMS, Doug Netter, Bruce, Tracy and...oh drat, I can't remember her name-the lady who produced the diaries (she worked with JMS on Jeremiah and wrote at least one episode). I'm hanging on to that one!

As it is, my impression is that they end up going for a couple of bucks apiece plus postage on Ebay. There was one seller who was selling them in lots of five and I picked up a couple of sets. I've given away a number of them already.

I was sort of joking about N'Grath, but it should be worth noting that there aren't an awful lot of B5 prosthetics around. For one thing, foam latex is very perishable and won't last for a long time unless it's specially treated with some kind of preservative, as Michael Westmore did with the heads that went out on various Star Trek exhibitions. For another, at some point, maybe it was season three or four, the guys at Optic Nerve were given instructions by the production to basically destroy anything that wasn't being used, so that these things didn't leak into the collectors market. I know that some finished heads made their way into the UK around that time, because they were brought over by Greg Funk for a convention appearance, and I'm fairly sure he left them behind when he returned to the States. I know writer Marc Zicree had a finished G'Kar head that he tried to auction off a number of times, and I would think he got it around the time he was working on 'Survivors.' I've got a painted Narn head around somewhere that I was given around season four, which I may auction at some point when I can find the time; I'm not a big collector of things, although I do have a Vervoid head from Doctor Who sitting over my desk right now, which I rescued from a skip at the BBC when they were getting rid of a bunch of stuff a while back. It's not so much a collectors item so much as it gets redecorated every Christmas and so forth.

Incidentally, I seem to recall that Bill Mumy tried to save all his facial prosthetic from Lennier, but I would be very surprised if they weren't a pile of mush now, considering their inherent perishability, plus that fact that they had to be removed with some kind of solvent, which wouldn't have helped either. So I'm not sure an awful lot of this stuff finds its way into the collectors market.

Marc Zicree did eventually sell his G'Kar prosthetic and many of Bill Mumy's head prosthetics have made it to Ebay, some for charity.

Most of what I've got is little stuff but I've got three of John Iacovelli's white models from the pilot that I'd love to make sure a museum gets some day. I think they've got a lot of significance in the history of B5. Amazing detail on these little paper models. I know I've promised pictures so when my new camera arrives I'll see what I can do about that.

Just trying to find the remaining B5 magazines with JMS's short fiction within. The ones I have are certainly enjoyable; I'd like to finish up the rest of 'em.

@Joe: Don't know exactly what you mean by "worth anything"
I bought them because I thought it was so nice to make a tribute to Andreas Katsulas and Richard Biggs this way. They are really thin, just 6 pages, but I found it very moving (yes, I admit I shed a tear or two). So for me, it was worth it

Thanks, that's her. I recognized her because I'd seen her at a convention in Vancouver back between Seasons One and Two of Jeremiah. She was in the back of the room during JMS's spotlight and JMS had her tell the room what they could expect from the second season.

Im still looking for the comics... the last one you posted i made some offers but they were rejected. I guess im always looking for a deal and not wanting to spend too much money on collectibles. Which is why ebay is good, and dealer rooms at conventions usually are not. :P

Well, there's an 'action figure' of two different Vorlons. IIRC, one is Kosh and one is "Vorlon Visitor"

I'd have to check the script books to sharpen my memory but at some point they thought that they'd never have use for the Kosh costume again so it ended up getting immolated by being dragged behind somebody's vehicle. I guess it had been a major pain to several people. Maybe that 'can't go through a doorway' thing?

Then they had to recreate it for 'The Gathering'...

Funny trivia note: At one convention where Pat Tallman and Jeffrey Willerth were appearing, Pat had little shadowboxes she was selling to benefit her favorite charity. Inside were pieces of the Kosh headpiece that had been exploded. I'd've loved to have gotten one but they were far too expensive for me at that time.

The story with the dragging behind a car is correct , I read it in the script book with "Interludes and Examinations"
