And to seek others who know the show. Or give yourself a sequence of questions to answer about where that odd looking thing came from. The opportunities....

HA HA! Yes like in TREKKIES (1997). Do we have someone who has a Babylon 5 themed office like the Star Trek Dentist's office from that movie? I was just thinking of my own little abode, but having a public office decorated with B5 props and merchandise would be a great way to promote the show.

$500 for a wall hanging prop from B5. Now that's dedication! And shipping isn't free, I noticed. But it would be one great conversation starter to have in an office.

Have you seen them show up on eBay before? I can't remember seeing any, but it seems like I should have considering how many you've treated people to at Cons and the lots I've handed out a few times. You would think someone else would have tried to make a buck off your efforts.
No idea who it is at all. I did #FreeBabylon5 tables at Space City Con (Galveston, TX), SDCC (San Diego, CA) and Loscon (Los Angeles, CA) so it could have been from either of those two. Can't say I've seen any show up elsewhere but then, it never occurred to me to look!

Yes I could make due with just one room. Actually all I need is about 20 of them.

Jan will appreciate this, or not?

So glad I don't have to buy this because I already have several thanks to the Empress who created them.

Funny, I was just thinking about this the other day. It may have been the first bit of set dressing from the show that I ever saw on Ebay. Assuming it's the same one, of course...but how many pieces of wall tile from B5 ever hit the market? I don't recall the price back then but I *know* it wasn't any $499.99!!

kind of on topic, i once ordered a bok on ebat and won it with the opening bid of 20p.
The shipping was 12 pounds. When it arrived it came stuffed in to a jiffy envelope (around 50p) with stamps to the value of 1.50 on it.

This is sadly more common than you might think, certain sellers will charge very high prices for shipping so they still show a profit even if the bids are not high. I don't think anyone in here would stoop to such tactics, but it's led me to always always check shipping chages before bidding.

Tell me about it! I now pretty much have to avoid ordering from USA based companies or artists, and it really saddens me not to be able to support musicians or artists / writers whose work I enjoy directly.

Shipping is insane these days, almost as much or more than the product I am ordering.

I knew it was in Canadian funds, it just startled me that Canadian shipping has gotten as obscene as USian.

    Thanks for the input Jan.

I have been trying to get the shipping price down, but shipping out of Canada (which is where I'm from) can get quite pricey at times.

In fact, I shipped a Star Trek 6 Enterprise model kit last year to Greece and the shipping ended up being over $100.00 CDN!!! After that experience I only ship to Canada and the U.S. now.

Also it's worth noting that the shipping prices and the opening bid that you see is in Canadian funds, which means that the prices are much cheaper in U.S. Dollars.

For example (based on exchange rates today)
Opening Bid of $99.99 is approximately $78.10 US dollars.

International Shipping (from Canada to the U.S.) would also work out to about the same amount of $78.10 US.

I added the currency exchange information to the listing.

I thought that was a great opening price (I already have one, though) until I saw the shipping charge was more than the opening bid. Even for international, that's really steep.

Nope. Still recovering from 6 months of unemployment and it doesn't look like they ship to the States.
