I'd say 25 years sounds more serious. But unpacking my VCR and watching the Gathering would be fun as well.

Depends on which anniversary you want to celebrate. "The Gathering" will have its 26th anniversary Feb. 22 but "Midnight on the Firing Line" has its 25th anniversary on Jan. 26.

Alas, I got it just last week so I have not even had the time to look through it.

I finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Dining on Babylon 5 for a more or less reasonable price. It did have the smell of being stored a bit to humid though, but that can hopefully be taken care of. Still, great fun to finally get it

It sounded a lot like a Londo-style comment to me.
The only good thing about that B5-20 is that the shipping is included which is likely to be high.

Ahhhhh Grolsch. that brings memories. One of the staples of my student days which didn't leave much money for any of the others.

Ah, marketing! :-) What a timeless con. I remember in the 80's going to a flea market and seeing a vendor selling "Very Old" bottles for a few bucks a piece. I don't know if it's still the case, but back then Grolsch Lager was sold in an amber bottle with a ceramic stopper and bailing wire. This vendor's very old bottles included a number of Grolsch bottles. He didn't appreciate it when I told him you could get the bottle filled with a pretty good lager for less than he was asking.

    :-D

YOU have no idea!!!!! I am nothing without my emojis. ;-)

And back to the "Rare" topic. I find it quite annoying when you see items listed as "RARE" for outrageous prices when you can clearly find the same or similar thing for normal prices. I will use an example here by pointing out the listings for LEGEND OF THE RANGERS: TO LIVE AND DIE IN STARLIGHT. Yes some of those listings might be for the original print run, but now that Warner Archive has re-issued it I don't think you can consider original print run DVDs all that rare and I would hate to see people over pay for something B5 related that isn't really "RARE". Yes I think it is fine that one pay a little more to get the original print run, but some of those prices are ridiculous and I would hate to see a fan get burned. I do admit that an original print run disc might be a little more durable than a re-issue DVD-R from Warner Archive, but I don't believe those prices justify having something that is slightly more durable. Sorry those of you out there might be trying to rake in a bunch of cash on those.

I am trying to figure out the story behind these. I want to say that maybe this person was going to try to get an entire set of figures signed by Boxleitner and then decided it would be too difficult. I had to scrap that theory because the person didn't even bother to spell "Boxleitner" correctly - "BOXLEIGHTNER". Educated guess is this person saw BB at a convention, found the figures for sale at a vendor, bought them, and had BB sign them in hopes of making money. I think that is sad. I mean I wouldn't even bother to start that process unless I could find the figure of the actual person. LOL

But while I am on the eBay topic, what does everyone think of items listed, and even selling, as rare that really are not rare at all? U don't want to single anything out because I don't want to create any awkward situations. I guess it doesn't matter if I know it isn't really rare. If the buyer doesn't do the research it is their own fault. And in fairness some of the things I've seen are items that are rarely listed on eBay, so maybe that makes them rare when the reality is the only reason they are rarely listed is because they RARELY ever sold in the past. LOL (I want my emojis BACK!!!!!)
'Rare' is often just something people add to the titles to get into more searches. Nobody ever searches for 'common', after all. And yes, sometimes people base their research on Ebay searches so they might think things are rare when actually, in this case, it's probably that B5 fans rarely sell their stuff. (and yeah, I miss the emojis, too. YOU must be feeling completely stifled!! ;-) )

Ted Shell was connected with Babylon 5 at one point!? Wow. Don't remember ever seeing his name linked with the show until now.
