Wow, cool idea! I've wished I had that list. I tried to get the 'Dreaming' cup and the Centauri bowl that Cartagia rinsed his hands in but they went out of reach. As I recall that was while I was unemployed myself.

The Londo & G'Kar figures are now over 1,200 $$$ ... over a grand. And they just started TODAY!

There's no way I'm going to be able to afford anything in his sales.

Sigh, join the Too-Rich-For-My-Blood club. :-(

But I like Jan's way of thinking: maybe the people with the piles of disposable income will bid themselves up so much on this first wave that they'll be out of money when the rest of the stuff is posted.

Thinking good thoughts about money... Ommmm.....

Problem is, that requires multiple people with piles of money, and then you need to get them all a really expensive item so that their disposable income goes away. Seems to me like diminishing returns on the amount bids go down with each round...

I've got a few things that I think are extremely cool that I didn't have to pay more than a few toes for. <g> I've got three set models from the pilot movie, probably some of the ones JMS was so enthusiastic about in this 5/29/1992 post:

And speaking of becoming real, we're gearing up more and more, with
additional hirings and stuff. By June 10th, we're actually going to have our
SET MODELS! Our production designer has been busily constructing them and
sculpting them and doing floor plans and blueprints, and within two weeks,
we'll actually be able to see three-dimensional renderings of what the station
is going to look like. We then have about a week to futz with the designs,
then it has to be nailed down so we can begin actual set construction.
I've got the Council Chamber (basically, two curved walls), Medlab and C&C, all somewhat the worse for wear but still very cool. Found them all on Ebay and picked them up for $100 each. There were 5 altogether that showed up as I recall. The other two might have been the Casino and Customs, I'm not certain.

I've got a few other things, too, but those are the most historically significant B5 wise. Maybe they didn't belong to JMS but they were part of the beginning of the show we love. I'm sure as time goes on, things will creep into the marketplace.

I can see that the price of these items JMS is selling is going really sky high.
And there are still 5 days left. Most of the people that really want to buy it wait until the final hours to start bidding. I imagine that these price will at least double or triple.

And honetly I have to work very hard for my money, and there are a lot of things on my priority list more important.

One thing that is making me wonder. What is the real reason for this "yard sale"? Saving space?!? C'mon how much space a bunch of dolls or a couple of jackets take?

If it is not for the money, why JMS is not donating the money for some institution, or campain, like Richard Biggs family fund.

Well, It is his stuff and he can sell whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and do wahtever he wants with the money, but even if he is doing this for the money, I doubt he would say so.

                            Who knows.....

Anyway, I hope he gets the money he is expecting from this.

                            Regards,
                            Deslok

What is wrong with selling stuff? When JMS wants to sell stuff that's all right, I think. While I like the idea of having a EA Jacket I am surely not able to afford it. We are living in a strange place, there are a lot of possible customers (at least me) and there are the mass-producing chinese... somehow these two do not (always) work together... talk to me about Capitalism again 9-)

By the way, I am unable to find a decent (normal) Jacket here in Austria. There is the boring, old Leather Jacket (decent, got one) and then not much else. For example, I would like to have a asymetrical Jacket, similar to the EA Jacket. You know? Where the buttons are not "in the middle". Maybe I should look for something like that in second hand shops... I AM NO MAINSTREAM MAN, dammit, make me mainstream *g*

greetings from austria, best known for its history and fine wine... feels like a wine cellar on a graveyard 8-)

That what I said, he is not doing anything wrong.

I just don't buy this "saving space" story.
