Specifically posted for JMS however it would be nice to hear other people's thoughts;

Now that Paramount Pictures has announced again that Erik Jendresen is working on a Star Trek Motion Picture prequel screenplay which as they claim "will be unlike any other Star Trek" we've seen to date, are you having any second thoughts about the concept both yourself and Bryce Zabel came up with for the franchise.
The reason I am asking is that with recent reports of the franchise going into an indefinate hiatus, then the news of Gail Berman (no relation to Rick Berman) taking 'the helm' of Paramount Pictures, then recently reported on BBC News 24 that Viacom was intending to divide Paramount Pictures away from its broadcasting network UPN, it seems to me that the possibilities of Star Trek: Enterprise returning to our screens (albeit later than usual due to the cancelation of the series), or yet another incarnation of the saga coming to fruition with a new production team on board, no longer appears to be an unviable option.
I believe Manny Coto and Andre Bormanis did a successful job with Enterprise during Season Three and so far, amid my initial concerns, Season Four's scripting appears to be of a higher standard especially the episode "Home" which aired recently in the UK.
I realise you have an up-coming project in 2006 and it saddened me when confirmation came from yourself that "The Memory of Shadows" was unlikely to go into production, but the humour, the stories, the lives of the characters that I watched develop and grow avidly in Babylon 5 seems to be what Star Trek has been missing for sometime.
Has yourself and Bryce Zabel totally 'shelved' your imagination of Star Trek or would you consider contacting Gail Berman and the people responsible to show them the true vision of Gene Roddenberry's wonderful legacy?
