I like it! It's pure JMS delight

It's a good one, worth reading indeed.

The main SF aspect (the treament received by the protagonist) seemed too farfetched, but that's OK, it's about the consequences, not the technical aspects.
The ending seemed a little predictable, then it wasn't, by a JMS twist, then it was logical.
