You may be able to message Antony over on TrekBBS and let him know about your issue with B5TV.

Antony is the site owner. B5TV.com does have a ban on Gmail email addresses. From B5TV Faq page:

Gmail email addresses banned

Due to Google's failure to secure its email systems against abuse, our messageboard systems are under continual attack from Gmail users. To this end we have had to regrettably ban Gmail/Googlemail users from subscribing to our messageboard.

Don't worry, you can still join
The easiest way is to use a non-Google email account to subscribe to our messageboard. Please use an email address such as one provided by your ISP, university, employer or Hotmail. Please click here to register with it in the normal way.

Don't have another email?
We will consider new accounts for Gmail users if you have NO other email address available to you. Please email @b5tv.com stating your required username. The problem is that I can't even register at B5TV because of the security question, which demands that you write an e-mail to [email protected] for the password - but I never get a reply =/

Haven't been registered on either B5TV or GATEWORLD, so perhaps you are just mixing me up with someone else ^^

If you can not find discussions of individual episodes here or aren't happy with the threads you do find please feel free to start your own new threads. Most of us are ready, willing, and able to discuss individual episodes and some of us know A LOT about the show - and a few know too much. ?

As far as B5TV goes you will likely just have to be patient. It can take them a little bit to respond to messages.

Have you been around here or B5TV before? Your User ID seems very familiar to me. GATEWORLD forums maybe?

Anyway, we are always willing to talk individual episodes around here and with B5TV you probably just have to wait a bit for a response.



As far as Reddit goes, I've never liked that interface. Like Facebook it just seems too busy.

Well, I'm not so much interested in participating in discussions, but rather would like a good place to comment on individual episodes.Of course I could do it in a word document, but then it wouldn't be public; I also much prefer the cozy interface of b5tv. I'll check out Reddit though, thanks for the tip.

Hi! I got into B5 for the first time earlier this year, and I'm totally in love with the series. I really would like to register on b5tv.com to engage in the forum; I really like to write so would definitively appreciate to share my thoughts on my favorite episodes; as I have previously enjoyed a lot on a Trek forum.

However, one needs a password to complete the registration. I have mailed [email protected] but don't get any answer - would you be able to help me?

Finally got everything sorted over there with Markas so I can post. WOW was that a lot of effort to spread, I mean, share my thoughts on Babylon 5.

Are you using a gmail account for email?
Because at b5tv.com:

When I originally setup my current account I did use a Gmail account. Then last week I saw that they were banned. I changed the email address attached to the account to a Yahoo email address, which is right before I heard back from Markas via PM. As of reading that you (Kraig) said I could register again my password no longer works. I just tried to re-register and it tells me that User name is already in use, but it still won't recognize the password. I have tried many times. I was talking to people using the Private Message system, but now I can't login to check to see if Markas has replied to my reply. And I have yet to receive any email notifications on any email address attached to an account.

This was the original problem I had more than a month ago. When everyone started discussing if it was time to move beyond the rim I tried to sign in using a very old account. It would not recognize the password, so I asked to reset the password and never received a reset email. After trying that several times as well as trying the "Contact Us" button several times I gave up and setup a new account using the handle Looney. As you know I could not get it confirmed to post, but like I've said I could Private Message.

I guess my only recourse is to try to reset my new password or try to use the "Contact Us" button again. Maybe that part of the system is working again.

I am going to hold off on doing anything for a bit in case you have more advice.

UPDATE:
04.21.2017 So I tried to reset the password. I eventually got it to work. There was a PM from Markas waiting. It appeared Markas had setup everything exactly like I wanted it, but I still can't post anything. I guess everything got setup, but no approval to post.
