Markas at B5TV posted a thread the other day asking for comment as to whether that forum should pass beyond the rim. I know a number of folks here are or were also members over there in case anybody wants to add comments.
Activity is really minimal there these days. Given they only discuss B5, I must admit there's not much left to discuss. I enjoyed my time there though, but I think the forums here (despite the small but loyal following) can be more active.
Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.
WOH! WOH! WOH! I hate to see it go. I must admit I stopped posting there more than a decade ago, but I still go there to look for information, like the viewing order list and just general looking around. Has that list been posted here? I just assumed people were keeping it going, so I focused on here and occasionally posting on the ISN forum. I can start posting there, though I doubt one person would help that much. And I disagree with Ubik that there isn't much left to discuss. I can conject, speculate, imagine, and BS with the best of them.
With Mack's (KoshN) permission, I included the info on the books and stories in the B5 FAQ Facebook page.
I don't know how much it costs to maintain but there's some really good episode discussion there. I wonder if they might just close it to posting and keep it up as a reference site?
Well I tried to register three times today, this morning, again about an hour ago, and then five minutes ago. Apparently my email address is still in their system so it keeps telling me they've sent me a an email to reset my account, but I have yet to receive any message.
I have suggested people join up here if B5TV is to be closed down. We still manage some nice discussions here, in spite of no new content.
Yeah, Looney, we do okay. I must admit some things have been discussed to death on the wider internet, but if there's interesting discussion to be had, I'm always up for it!

funnily enough, after watching SiL, i wondered if there were any active B5 forums to find like minded bab fans (not geeks), and the first thread i read there was dated probably only a few days previous. 'is it time to go beyond the rim'
kind of funny timing.
my registration was also unresponsive, so i guess (understandably) that whoever is running feels it might be enough.

Well, you are very welcome here. Sure, the UI is not as pretty, but the conversation is usually good!

Yes I really like B5TV's UI. Really wish I could have gotten in there and started posting. The Lantern City forum has been down for awhile so I don't feel it is necessary form me to keep that one going - I was the only person posting there for MANY months. So I felt that had freed me up to join B5TV. I guess I shouldn't complain. The fewer Forums I am following I guess is the better.
please note new users, we will not be burning you alive to keep the lights on...
not after the last time.
"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "
