Okay, by popular demand, Skywatch 2017 is now open.
As before, each person gets three guesses and two of those dates have to pass before requesting more dates. The person whose guess is closest to a winning event will get the Fabulous Skywatch Prize. Announcements have to come from a valid news source (Deadline, not Bob's Blog) or from JMS himself whether in person or online. Time is determined by my location and all prizes and decisions are mine (I got da power!).
Now, then - since JMS has announced that he's left comics behind (sob!), I've chosen 3 dates randomly sometime during the year and marked my calendar. If you choose one of those three *exactly*, you'll win the Fabulous Skywatch Prize even if there's no announcement that day.
I'll move the new guesses over here. Let the game begin!
For all the new folks, I should probably make the 'Skywatch Game' a bit clearer.
When JMS has a project he's excited about and he wants to let people know that there's an announcement coming, he often tells fans to "watch the skys".
Thus was born the 'Skywatch Game' where the person who guesses a date closest to one of JMS' announcements wins a Fabulous JMSnews Prize which are usually B5-related. They can be bookplates, keychains, magnets, CDs....all sorts of stuff that I've collected over time.
Each person can choose 3 non-consecutive dates and when there's an official announcement (from JMS, the trades or another official source (think Deadline, not Ain't it Cool News)), I'll consult the calendar and declare a winner.
So the list is not far above this post, feel free to add your chosen dates and May Kosh Be With You (or Daffy Duck, your choice)!
And...we have a winner! JMS slipped in a quiet word about developing Ten Grand for A&E in his SDCC Guest blurb. Since it's known that he writes those himself, that's official enough for me. Babylonlurker came closest with his guess of March 3.
Jan, I'm not sure if I have anything that you don't but shoot me a message and we'll see what we can find.
