and in no way your fault, just irritating, they misspelled his name, hope the schools English and language courses are up to a better standard than their social media correspondent :P

"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

I doubt it. While my credit card might stand the pain, I really need to not spend the money. Sorta wish I'd known about this one first. I'd *love* to see JMS in a Q&A with college students.

So it says current and past students, not open to the public. Do you think they'll be checking people's IDs at the door? Do you think JMS will demand swift punishment for outsiders?

Nah, he posted that it's a pretty small venue - only about 300 seats so students would have first priority.

They just posted a photo of JMS speaking to the student newspaper, the Sun.

Some folks may remember several years ago when JMS paid for a print run for them when there was some shenanigans with financing a print run that was critical of the college board (details here: http://jmsnews.com/forums/showthread.php?p=70692 ) So I'm betting that JMS is pretty much a hero to them.

Some photos and an interview from JMS' visit to Southwestern College yesterday and today:

            J. Michael Straczynski walked into the Southwestern College Sun newsroom on Thursday afternoon, looked around at the young journalists and writers and told them how much the world needed them. The world, he said, needed their unique perspective, their stories and their voices. He pointed to News Editor Cristofer Garcia and said, “no one can […]

Here's a great photo with JMS and John Iacovelli and William Virchis who we can thank for buying JMS first paid play...you've got it, 'Snow White'!

Reunited with the amazing John Iacovelli, production designer extraorinare, surprise guest at the talk, and William Virchis, who staged my very first (and utterly awful) one-act plays when I attended...

Hmm...I know John Iacovelli's done theatrical set design. Maybe JMS can have him do that for him again? That would be cool.
