  • Ask JMS - Slashdot

I've seen items like this before but I'm not really familiar with Slashdot and I don't know how long the window to post questions will be open.

    J. Michael Straczynski has written Thor, World War Z, and Changeling among many other films. He created Babylon 5 and has worked on numerous comic book titles including Superman and The Amazing Spider-Man. Most recently, he has teamed up with the Wachowskis for an original Netflix sci-fi series, Se...

Most recently, he has teamed up with the Wachowskis for an original Netflix sci-fi series, Sense8 . He's agreed to take a break from his busy schedule in order to answer any questions you may have. As usual, ask as many as you'd like, but please, one question per post.
ETA...oh, jeez...just the first few questions have me rolling my eyes out of the sockets! :-)

    I asked:

    Christine Collins

Joe, If you could ask Christine Collins any question while she was still alive, what would you ask her? Dan_DD

Is is possible that some people have no clue how insulting they are? Just found this one.

In concert with the Wachowski siblings, has a plan been formed for Sense8 as a series, or are we in for more run-of-the-mill monster of the week with no goal in sight? Long time Babylon 5 fan wants to know.
      Sheesh!

Oh man, most of these questions are god awful.

Although, I did like the one about the 'Vorlon game show' B5 spin off in the vein of Takeshi's Castle.
Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

        Kosh: Good!

I think it only started yesterday. He may still be traveling doing location scouting for Sense8. Last year there was one, too and it looks like there was about a week's lag before JMS answered the questions he chose.

Haven't read it in depth yet but it looks like the Slashdot answers have been posted:

Recently you had a chance to ask the writer and creator of Babylon 5, J. Michael Straczynski, about the state of sci-fi, his body of work, and collaborating with Netflix. Below you'll find his answers to those questions.

I can not see anything we did not know before.

As usual, JMS' wry sense of humor pops up here and there.

No, but we could pretty much tell from the questions that most of them don't hang out here.

I don't think I ever saw Dan's question in the question tree, though. Did you, Dan?
