It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

                    Dear Mrs. Woodward,

I see that this would have been your husband's birthday. My condolences again on your loss. I know that the forums automatically send out a birthday greeting and I hope that didn't cause you pain. If I'd realized, I'd have found some way to stop it.

Very best wishes going forward. Remember, you have friends here.

So I was thinking about Laser Discs and as usual that brought up thoughts of DGTWoodward. So I came looking for this thread to remind myself how long it had been since we got the news of his passing beyond the rim. I had forgotten that his Avatar included "A Fan Of Pioneer". This reminded me of a time about five years ago when I was speaking to a man from Manchester. This man kept going on about his electronics and how everything he had was a particular brand.

Do people in the U.K. buy all of their electronics from the same manufacturer?

Have I asked this question before?

Sure wish DGTWoodward could answer and talk about Laser Discs.
