  • Claudia Christian - "Babylon Confidential"

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned in passing around the time of Comic-Con but since it looks like publicity is heating up...

Claudia has a new autobiographical book coming out named "Babylon Confidential" where she describes her struggle with alcohol addiction and the method she found to help her called the Sinclair Method.

Found this post over on the Zocalo Today FB page:

It features various fashion segments, a weekly guest, etc. This Saturday, Luke is welcoming Claudia Christian on the show to discuss, among other things, her experience on "Babylon 5" and her new book, Babylon Confidential. The show will air within the network's YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/empowermetv as well!<p>
Claudia also may be appearing on the Dr. Drew show soon. She posted last week that she'd be appearing but it was postponed.

After her last pamphlet - sorry, memoir - and the reviews of this one, I think I'll have to pass.

Claudia's posted a video about her memories of Jeff Conaway here:

Actress Claudia Christian, who starred in "Babylon 5," remembers her friend and co-star Jeff Conaway, who died in 2011 after long struggles with addiction.…

She's also going to be live on "Secrets of the Red Carpet" discussing her book today at 3:00 PM Pacific (6:00 PM Eastern). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgXyLh52z8E

ETA: Jeff's birthday would have been yesterday, Oct. 5.

I had no idea about Claudia's battle with alcoholism. I gather the book is mostly on that topic, and a bit of a promo piece for the Sinclair Method (which I also had to read up on to find out what it was).

Interesting stuff and I'd be keen to know more. I've lost others close to me due alcoholism, and like any addiction it's destructive, irrational and refuses to let go unless that person truly wants to. I applaud her for tackling the subject in the hope that it will help others.

Crazy actually, I was just watching Claudia in Freaks and Geeks the other days, and she's amazing in that. A more naturalistic side to her acting I'd never seen.
Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

        Kosh: Good!

As a 'Thank-You' to folks who've bought her book, Claudia and her co-author have written a B5 fanfic that can be downloaded here:

Not bad, not bad at all.

I heard about it (Babylon 5: Red Fury) on Nov. 3rd and read it immediately.

Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.
