  • I have no idea how to interpret this, but here is the latest quote from Executive Producer Trevor Crafts on LanternCityTV.com

"Just want the Loyal Workers to know that a great meeting happened yesterday. Prepare, the turn is coming... soon." Trevor Crafts LanternCityTV.com

Yeah that is another big tease, but I want to feel that it is hinting that something good is coming.

    • Here is the latest tease from Trevor Crafts, only this time it is very specific

"Citizens of Lantern City, Airships fly with news and arrive tomorrow morning! "
      - Trevor Crafts LanternCityTV.com Forum

I assume that morning means PST for those who would like to know.

      • Just announced that Lantern City will be coming out with a 12 part comic book series. It sounds like it will be an introduction to all of the current characters and the world of Lantern City, picking up a hundred or so years after the book Lantern City: Rise left off. Here is the announcement from the new partner.

        http://blog.boom-studios.com/2014/10...-lantern-city/

Sure wish they had a release date. I hope the artwork matches the quality of some of the conceptual artwork they have on their website.

Of course in all of my excitement over the little tidbits of news the last couple of days I completely missed this until just now. Bruce Boxleitner's name has disappeared from the project. I don't know if he is still a silent partner or what, but the graphics that say Bruce Boxleitner's Lantern City are gone. I'll try to find out more and post it.

        • Huh, maybe Bruce decided he didn't have the time to dedicate to the series because he's going to be doing something else.

I am not excited about the comic books, but at least I don't have to worry about coming up with the money for 12 new things.

          • Just got a message from Trevor Crafts

"Bruce is still very much involved" - TC

            THAT IS GREAT NEWS ! ! ! !

So you're not going to buy the comics? What about for me?

            • Matthew Daley has promised to start doing a weekly blog on the upcoming comic release. Here is a link to the first entry. (You don't have to be signed in to read it.)

              http://lanterncitytv.com/forum/entry...f-Future-Posts

It gives answers to some big questions on what can be expected in the comic, but no answer on when it will be available. Hopefully he'll divulge more next week.

                • Looks like Bruce Boxleitner's Facebook page might have the first LC Comic image.

It also has a conflicting date of May 13th as the release date. I am trying to get that sorted now.

So if you don't want to buy the physical comics here is a quote from Trevor Crafts:

"Yes digital as well! BOOM! publishes its titles on Comixology.com. We are exploring other motion comic options as well." - Trevor Crafts LanternCityTV.com

                        • Is a digitial comic just the ebook version of one? E-comics are even harder to read. I just don't like having to read in tiny bubbles. I don't need pictures when I read. I want to use my imagination. I just don't care for the format.

The first illustrated novel they did was awesome though. It had a few pretty pictures, but it was mostly words typed normally on a page. I just prefer novels.

But I know loads of people love comics so it's great news for them!!!!!!!

What's that possible third option? Motion comics? Is that more like a cartoon?

                          • motion comics show the panels and have a full voice cast of acting people perform the story. IT is more like a radio play with visual annotations
"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

                            • I love radio dramas.

Here is a recent article. It looks like there are a couple character previews as well.
