Since it looks like JMS is going to have some big news at this year's con and because there's going to be another B5 alum there, I decided to give SDCC its very own thread. First the new news, then I'll re-post JMS' schedule so far just so it's all in one place.

    Just found this on Twitter:

    Claudia Christian ‏@CChristian0810

Exciting news! I'm going to be at the San Diego Comicon next month, July 14th ONLY to promote my upcoming book http://fb.me/18dzMp3KY
    Claudia Christian ‏@CChristian0810

I'll be there signing free limited edition excerpts from Babylon Confidential on Saturday ONLY at booth 4300.... http://fb.me/1PCVH9BQx
And from the other thread, JMS' posts about his schedule:

My Saturday schedule at San Diego Comic Con: 11:15 DC graphic novel panel; 12:45 Before Watchmen; 2:00 spotlight; 3:30 signing. If all goes as planned, expect some really massive news at the spotlight. (Not necessarily B5 related.)
Of all the spotlights I've done, this may be the single most important...something I've been working toward for over a year now. For the folks attending SDCC, spread the word, because this is one you're NOT going to want to miss.

And a new addition just posted by Patricia Tallman:

Thursday, July 12, 2012. 5:00-6:00 p.m. The Most Dangerous Women at Comic-Con— Actresses, stuntwomen, creative cosplayers, outspoken bloggers, and groundbreaking comic book creators – which women are the movers and shakers on the convention scene? Who are the innovators breaking barriers in the world of fandom? To discuss these game changers, Action Chick Katrina Hill (GeekNation, MTV Geek) has assembled a team of women dangerous in their own right: Leah Cevoli (Robot Chicken), Holly Conrad (Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope), Adrianne Curry (Stan Lee’s World of Heroes), Abbie Heppe (Respawn Entertainment), Clare Kramer (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Kristen Nedopak (Skyrim: To Lydia with Love, Fight Class), Milynn Sarley (GeekNation’s Lairs), Stephanie Thorpe (Weird Girls, ElfQuest: A Fan Imagining), and Patricia Tallman (Night of the Living Dead, Babylon 5). With moderator Bonnie Burton (SFX Magazine) Room 7AB.
ETA: Just found a signing for Pat, too:

    Friday, July 13, 2012 10:00am until 2:35pm in PDT.

Friday: Autographing & selling books AA31

Good grief, those hints are so vague you can't tell whether it's even a writing project.

Maybe they're planning a surprise wedding - it wouldn't be the first at Comic-Con, but it might be the first on stage!

I can neither confirm nor deny your hypothesis.

First thought - What else could it possibly be?! After all, it's JMS!

Second thought...Hmmmm... That would be one way to top the "Wonder Woman 601 Players from a couple of years ago, wouldn't it?

I totally doubt it but wouldn't that be fun! I'm hoping maybe he'll have his sizzle reel, too. Don't know if he found anybody to do that project.

Looks like Bruce Boxleitner will be there representing the new Tron: Uprising. Found on a Comic-Con blog:

For TRON: Uprising, expect a star-studded panel including “Elijah Wood and original TRON star Bruce Boxleitner, as well as producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis”.
            Found a little more info:

            Friday, July 13
TRON: Uprising: 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. (Room 6A) - Voice cast Elijah Wood ("Beck") and Bruce Boxleitner ("Tron") join executive producer/director Charlie Bean and consulting producers Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz. The panel will also feature never-before-seen clips of Disney XD’s turbo-charged original series "Motorcity" and a sneak peek of the upcoming animated series "Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja." The panel will be moderated by Daily Variety film editor Josh Dickey.

Man, if all you wanted to do is work your Comic-Con schedule around B5-related folks, it's beginning to look like you could. Found on the Zocalo Today:

              QUESTIONS FOR MARC ZICREE
If you had a chance to ask a question of Marc Zicree who is currently trying to pull together a true science fiction film series called SPACE COMMAND, what would you ask? Marc, Doug Drexler and Neil Johnson have many years of experience in the world of science fiction and they want to bring new stories for us all to enjoy. If you have a question, please send it to [email protected].
There will also be a live panel at San Diego Comic Con - July 13 from 8:30-9:30pm in Room 5AB.

Possibly the Captain Power reboot is the TV project...there have been murmurings about it for months here and there.

IIRC, the two TV projects that JMS has said he's got in development are one dark fantasy and one semi-procedural. I think Captain Power is more of a Larry DiTillio project. Still, I'll be on the lookout for that at SDCC, too.

I would be most interested to see what a JMS dark fantasy would look like. Possibly something like Game of Thrones, only better?

Ready to get jealous of Jan? They're doing a Firefly panel. Joss Whedon, the entire Firefly cast, plus writers and guest stars, and apparently "news" along with never-seen footage.

Now, now...it's not hard to get to Comic-Con. All it takes is intense devotion for the entire year ahead of time.

It'll be interesting to find out if there's even the slightest chance of getting in to the Firefly panel. Do you have a link to info?

I Googled "SDCC Firefly Whedon" and grabbed the first link that came up - there's a bunch.

Hosted by the Science Channel -- who has been re-airing the short-lived, but much loved, cult TV show -- the panel will reunite Whedon, Fillion, producer Tim Minear, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, Michael Fairman, and "the rest of the crew of the Serenity." In addition to the panel, there will also be a screening of never-before-seen footage...and, of course, a collectible bag.

The "Firefly" 10th Anniversary Panel will be on Friday, July 13 at 12:30 p.m. in Ballroom 20.

And a buttload of money, don't forget about that! Of course, if you wanted to drag me along, that'd be totally fine.
