Has there been an end of the year round up this year?

Not so far. JMS's computer self-destructed just before Christmas and he posted that he managed to salvage the data from the hard drive and connect his laptop to his monitor but he doesn't seem entirely back online as yet.

But for what it's worth, I did post to his Facebook page and ask for one. Tradition, y'know...

Does not feel like new year without an update

After I asked my blanket 'How 'bout an update, JMS?' question, others asked about specific things so let me gather them together for you.

Asked about the Shattered Union movie:

Finished it, they're deciding what to do with it. Meanwhile, they turned around and made a deal for me to write another screenplay for them, Vanishing Point, which just went in to them before Christmas.

Our own Smile of the Shadow asked whether one would need to see the other Underworld flicks in order to understand the upcoming Underworld: Awakening:

It's pretty self contained, in a way that makes it new-viewer friendly, while at the same time advancing and building on what folks who have seen the previous movies know.

I'd posted to ask for an update on "Voices from the Dead" and another poster asked for a 'year-end-round-up' and JMS replied:

There are a number of big non-B5 items to be announced, but this isn't the place. Expect some by the end of the month.

So let the skywatch begin...
