Dear @chrishemsworth Thor...apologies...when I tried to pick up the hammer after it fell to Earth in that first movie I kinda torqued the handle where it goes into the head, fractured it just a little bit...didn't think it would be a problem...should've mentioned it...my bad....JMichael Straczynski added,
We even get a bit of JMS trying to pick up that hammer in the video that Hemsworth posted, RIP Mjolnir: https://twitter.com/chrishemsworth/s...81340717809664

      • JMS jokey tweet about his new intalled Iphone X:
Installed/activated my Iphone X today. Turned on face recognition. Siri keeps responding with "Stay where you are, keep your hands where the camera can see them, a SWAT team will be arriving shortly." Is anybody else getting this?
        Some nice retweets:

Mine just says "Apple is Mother, Apple is Father."
No, but it's insisting my password is "peekaboo."
No, but mine does keep asking me "What do you want?" and I'm a bit afraid to answer...
Mine keeps asking me "who are you"

Lemme think...million year old advanced race armed with a fleet of almost impervious shadow vessels versus really large traffic cones armed with toilet plungers...I'm thinking it's not much of a contest.

          • Versus inconsistent "really large traffic cones armed with toilet plungers." I am by no mean a Who expert, but I am forcing my way through the branch of the series that started in 2005. One of my MANY complaints about the series is the inconsistency of the Daleks. I was first introduced to them at the start of this series as being nearly indestructible "large traffic cones armed with toilet plungers." As the show has progressed they became weaker and weaker. I know that from time to time they have explained improved weaponry being used against the Daleks, but it has always seemed like flimsy reasoning after the indestructibility they established in the early part of this run. I know some will argue with me that the inconsistency has been explained, but that doesn't mean I like seeing that the writers wrote themselves into a corner and have been backing out of it ever since.

            • JMS got a period

              JMS yesterday did this tweet:

Thanks to Twitter's new rules I can finally put a period and space after the J, which has been bugging me ever since I signed onto Twitter. These are the small joys that make up my life.

I almost tweeted back "Life's simple pleasures really ARE the best" and/or "The best things in life are free" but sanity prevailed.

                  Sanity? since when?
We have it on authority form the Great Maker himself you are insane.

Where's the real Jan and what have you done with her.
"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

But the second best things aren't free: a hot cup of coffee and a sweet cake.

Went to take out some trash, noticed parts of the bottom of the pool had turned black. Couldn't figure it out. Then realized: it's ash from the nearby fires. One of the current evacuation zones is about three miles from my house. Fingers crossed. Horrible tragedies all around.

To folks in the UK: if you had to pick one up-and-coming actor, late 20s/early 30s, Irish, British or Scottish, who you would consider the next McGoohan/Cumberbatch type...sharp delivery, intense, every spoken line an act of resistance...who would you choose?
                          What's about? Project? Any idea?

Don't know. I'm thinking it could be one of three things. Either
                            - he's writing something and i slooking for a 'model' to keep in mind while writing or
                            - it could be for one of the projects he's been working on for a while - Rising Stars and Midnight Nation or
                            - it could be for something not announced yet.
