  • Yeah, there were a number of those both on FB and Twitter. Bit macabre for me, I'm afraid.

I'm sure whatever it is, it'll be interesting. And...I wonder how accurate his forecast will be. Sometimes a week turns into much longer.

Amusingly this was my first thought too. Ha... Even then, I'm unsure the value of my script book collection would go up.

Captain John Sheridan: I really *hate* it when you do that.

I asked him something I've always been curious about:

              As usual, he's very precise.

In a sense, Joe has allowed his characters to have free will to determine their own fate. In a metaphysical sense, he is the god who creates the universe and defines the underpinning of that universe. He then takes dictation from his characters and records what they say and do.

                • No I think it is a clue! There is another person behind the stories and characters and JMS just writes down what they say. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW ! ! !

                  • link from the site Newsarama where JMS explains in detail (with pictures) about the whole eye thing and why he feels he had to leave comics:
                    Clicky
"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

                    • Suddenly a lot of things make sense about his comics output, the sudden departures on some titles, etc. I kind of respect him for keeping this to himself even when fans were raking him over the coals for dropping out of things mid-run.

I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with he taking a break from monthly titles back in...'10? '11?

All the photos in the Newsarama article are the ones I didn't film at SDCC. Almost. There were some kitten pics to break the tension.

                              • Looks like JMS is in the home stretch with his autobiography. In the Southwestern College interview he wrote:

...I’m finishing my autobiography which we will take to auction in November (preferred) or January, if we can’t get the pieces in place in time before the Christmas break,...
And in response to his wishing Angela Lansbury a happy 91st birthday, a poster asked if he had an autobiography mentioning Angela, JMS said:

Ask that question again in about four months.
JMS has mentioned taking books to auction in the past (with 'Tribulations, iirc). Does anybody know anything about that process? It sounds like his agent would make it available for publishers to bid on?
