JMS confirmed that he'll be at Comic-Con this year and it looks like there'll be still more announcements on the comic front:
I'd
initially planned on not going to San Diego Comic Con this July so I
could focus on the work, but there's so much going on in that field
for me right now, plus some announcements that'll be made there, that
I really have to be there.
Now if I can just snag a ticket when (if) SDCC does some eBay auctions after the refund date passes.
Just last week, we finally heard some official details on a forthcoming documentary from director Morgan Spurlock and producers Joss Whedon, Stan Lee and Harry Knowles that will follow seven comic fans from around the world as they embark on their journey to the annual Comic-Con convention in San Diego this July. Comic-Con Episode Four: A Fan's Hope, as it will be titled, now has a request to the masses from Spurlock's own website looking for Comic-Con stories from fans just like you guys. So here's your big chance to get on the big screen and showcase your geeky, dorky and/or nerdy obsessions for the entire world to see. ...
If anybody knows of decent sized cons near where you want him, why not suggest that they invite him? I've seen him at huge cons and small ones. It's worth a try.

I just suggested that for a Danish con "Komiks.dk". Dunno the size of the con yet, but if JMS comes I will (at least attempt to) move heaven and earth to get there
I just found the first panel that JMS is apparently scheduled for at Comic-Con. From the Summer online only magazine:
From Superman to superwomen. Katrina Hill (ActionFlickChick.com, voted by G4TV viewers as the "Next Woman of the Web"), Jill Pantozzi (Comic Book Resources), Luci Romberg (
Ninja Warrior, Zombieland), Marjorie Liu (Dirk and Steele), reality TV star Adrianne Curry, and J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5, Wonder Woman) ask, "Where Are the Action Chicks?" Why, despite the popularity of heroines like Xena, Wonder Woman, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, have comics and films not produced more superheroines and other action-oriented women? They are joined by the Ink-Stained Amazon herself, Jennifer K. Stuller, who explains how the female hero in modern mythology has broken through the boys’ club barrier of tradition and reveals the pivotal role of high-heeled, costumed crimefighters in popular culture.
Sounds like fun. This panel is part of the Comic Arts Conference program.
I was worried 'cause it took forever for screens to change and the first few times I enterred my info it kept telling me it was sold out. Something told me to keep trying and I finally got a sale screen.

Woooo! I get to hang out with jan! I mean...go to comic-con!
LOL! You're sweet but enough people around here have met me so they're not gonna be fooled. It's the OTHER JMS you'll be looking for. But you're still my convention 'son'.
