à Clint EastwoodÆs Cannes entry ôChangeling,ö which will be the centerpiece of the New York Film Festival, will not be at Toronto because there was uncertainty about new mother Angelina JolieÆs availability to participate in a gala premiere.

ôWe would have loved to have had Clint Eastwood,ö said Bailey, ôbut the only way to present the movie in a big way was as a gala with Eastwood and Jolie.öà

New York film festival stocked with Cannes titles
New movies from directors Clint Eastwood, Darren Aronofsky and Steven Soderbergh highlight the line-up of the 46th New York Film Festival, which begins September 26. Seventeen of the 28 foreign-language-heavy titles appeared at the Cannes Film Festival in May, including SoderberghÆs four-hour-plus Spanish-language biopic Che and EastwoodÆs Changeling, which stars Angelina Jolie. French Palme dÆOr winner The Class was previously announced as the festivalÆs opening selection.

EastwoodÆs Changeling, an Oscar-hyped kidnap thriller, will screen in the prestigious Centerpiece spot on October 4.

AronofskyÆs Mickey Rourke drama The Wrestler, which the director expects will make its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on September 5, will close New York on October 12. All screenings will be held at the Ziegfeld Theatre. Universal will release Changeling domestically on October 24 and Sony Pictures Classics The Class on December 12. ...
Note: Changeling will is not on the schedule for the 65th Venice International Film Festival.

I attended some of the press screenings last year for my website, but wasn't planning on it this year, due to finances and time constraints. Still, I might try to getcredentials just for the screening/press conference for CHANGELLING.

Unfortunately, Changeling will not be shown at the Toronto Internation Film Festival or the Vienna Film Festival. JMS will only be attending the New York Film Festival.

Sadly, I had to cancel at the last minute due to the press of work.
Still planning to attend the New York festival, though.
