For those considering attending Comic Con this year, it looks like the four-day passes are already sold out and the Saturday one-day passes getting close.
WHY does it always seem to be the west coast, huh???
Jan
Yet again, Comic-Con is not a realistic possibility for me. Maybe one of these days Joe will write a book that will require a national book-signing tour.

Although there is no mention of JMS, this is an interesting (albeit snobbish) article.
A mainstream press article that is snobbish about comics? Why... that's odd. The next thing you know, they'll do an article about sci-fi conventions where they show a fat guy in a Starfleet uniform. Or beam up the reporter at the end (or in the UK, substitute a Doctor Who scarf for the former, and a TARDIS sound effect for the latter). And then cue the co-anchors as they both laugh and shake their heads in a superior fashion while making an ad-lib condescending comment about fandom.
(Hey everyone, haven't been here in a while, but it's that time again!)
Almost didn't buy my tickets back in March due to budget issues and having to move, but where there's a con, there's a way.
Hey Jan do we want to repeat our lunch date at the sandwich shop from last year? Of course, we'll be missing a few people...but we can put straws on the seats in their honor. hehehe.
Given what's happened in the past year with JMS, I wouldn't want to miss what he might say this year. Abso-frickin-lutely!
Who knows, he might be getting power-player status at the con now! We can give him a rock star welcome now and he deserves it even more.

I'd love to do the lunch thing again, PMvanova! Glad you'll be able to make it. Unfortunately, Jon won't be there this year but I don't think we've heard whether DougO might be. I'll bet we'll probably manage to find a few others.

Definitely a lot of stuff happening on Thursday, they are starting panels at 10 am (doors open at 9:30 am) and they have more panels in the evening.
Don't know if I'll have time for lunch any of the days. I definitely want to catch the Doctor Who/Torchwood panels starting at noon on Thursday.
