Obviously this year is kind of up in the air when it comes to conventions. Indeed, San Diego Comic-Con has just been rolled over to 2022 - though there's the possibility of an in-person event in November. But given that JMS has two books and a couple of audio dramas happening this year, there might be the possibility of small events that could be held safely. So, as the saying goes, Watch This Space!

Book Launch for Together We Will Go
Tuesday, July 6
5:30 pm Central — FREE!
Crowdcast
Known for his groundbreaking work across television, comics, films, and more, award-winning and bestselling author J. Michael Straczynski joins us to celebrate the publication day of Together We Will Go (Gallery/Scout Press), his stirring first foray into literary fiction. A powerful tale of a struggling young writer who assembles a busload of fellow disheartened people on a journey toward death, Together We Will Go grapples with the biggest questions of existence while finding small moments of the beauty in this world that often goes unnoticed. As Straczynski’s travelers cross state lines and complications to the initial plan arise, it becomes clear that this novel is as much about the will to live as the choice to end it—and that it’s a book readers will remember for a lifetime.
Free to attend, registration required. We hope to “see” you there!

Iv'e love to but 5.30pm cetnral is 1,30 am for me, means i wouldn;r be asleep until well after 2 am
Sorry, time zones are *hard*"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

Second virtual event will be July 8 at 7:00 PM Pacific time (10:00 Eastern) via Chevalier's Books. Not much detail yet but the link is:
Chevalier's is the oldest independent bookstore in Los Angeles. We have new books in a variety of genres and subjects plus frequent in-store author events/signings.
And third will be July 15 via Powell's Books. More details coming.

Found it under the Events tab and then the Calendar, but the event doesn't appear to have a link yet ?
And - YES! - Chevalier's Books does have a Youtube site for Previous Events, so even if we miss the event "live", can possibly watch it later. Thanks Jan!!!https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjA...eeT7A/featured
?? With TWO books coming out, I wonder if JMS might potentially plan for in person events later in 2021 (on the EasternSeaboard - Please Please?) or is that pretty much a no-go on account of the Virus?

it was a great event and loved the Story behind the Story. Was somewhat interested in the "purchase the book from our partner TODAY and get a bookplate signed by JMS", but that link only says Out Of Stock // Notify Me. ?
FYI to those in different time zones: One of the event promoters mentioned that the event will (eventually) be available on their Youtube channel for a re-watch. https://www.youtube.com/user/raintaxiinc

And yes, he does answer a question toward the end with small, vague B5 news.

JMS on the Writers, After Dark podcast talking about both of his new books. People who've listened to the Babylon Podcast may recognize the host, Summer Brooks:
